Our winner was Zapatillas but now that it is scratched we will revert to the three tried and tested…. Do It Again, Belgarion and Kommetdieding. Safe Passage and Aragosta are the best of the three year olds. Astrix and Red Saxon to make dreams come true. However our colleagues in JHB are big on Hoedspruit so we will add him to the quartet. In the balance of the races for each way chances we suggest Ameena, Chantyman and Gentleman’s Wager. We will also be playing a P6 with Maharanee and Captains Ransom as bankers and flooding the rest of the legs. Other than that we shall play it by ear!

While we wish you a lot of luck with Pomp and Power , if you watch the Daily News 2000 replay again, you will see that Safe Passage went past him like he was standing still!!! If he were to win we would be the first to admit we were wrong but he’s not for us!

Captain’s Ransom let us down last year so we cannot follow it on principle 😉

In the 6th race where you suggested Grinkov we tipped those horses that made us the most money in order. However we certainly respect the Grinkov form line and have thus tipped Aztec Warrior in the 2nd Race at 33/1 as he ran second to Grinkov! Should Aztec Warrior run a big race in the 2nd that will frank the form and make Grinkov the horse to beat. If not we shall exclude him on collateral

We tipped Cousin Casey to beat Grinkov, it won. We tipped She’s a Keeper to beat Captains Ransom, it won. There’s no such thing as bankers in SA racing. In fact the favourites only win about 27% of the time. That statistic is the reason we started the Punters Corner section of this channel.

We tip primarily the KZN Race Meetings unless it’s a Major event in one of the other provinces… for example the Cape Town Met or the Summer Cup

@@sportsxunreal8100 honestly July is a hard event. Safe passage/ KOMMETDIEDING for me. Will play all my bets around these two.

You will find we tipped them in our top 3. But we have a sentimental spot for Do It Again as it has won for us 4 years in a row! Good luck

@@sportsxunreal8100 Do it again top class. But 7 year old for me. Will tip it to run 3rd or 4th

Even if Do It Again should run 3rd or 4th it will be a win for us as we have it in a huge boxed Quartet permutation.
