All music has been remastered directly from the original vinyl/shellac recording using an Audio Technica Turntable (LPX120USB) and Magix Audio Restoration Lab. This one in particular was recorded/released in 1960, and my copy is the hard to find 33rpm single! I hope you enjoy Pretty Kitty Kallen as much as I do! Good recording . Much better than the unmerited A-side , " I Will Wait Forever ", which not only is mediocre , but runs for a mere 1:27 . You'd be justified in thinking you'd been cheated if you bought it , not realizing its brevity .

I love her as well, I honestly didn't know she recorded anything solo other than "Dominique", and when I saw these in her discography I scowled the Internet to find them. She's also very underrated. You would like "One In A Million" by her as well, that is also on my channel. No, this was recorded in 1968. Flip side of "Mama Sez" which was a hit for her in 1968. Her first single wasn't released until 1959.
Decca single #32278. She was only with Decca from 1968-1970. Only being with Columbia before that from '60-67. This sounds pretty standard for most late 60s country ballads. Definitely not the 50s.

I always liked the Fontane Sisiters when I was quite young (still do). Only in the last several years have I learned that they wanted out of the business around 1958-59 and Dot didn't want to let them go for some reason. They were married, had families and just wanted out. Years after they stopped recording, Dot was still releasing singles etc. that were still unreleased. This is a great post. I'd never heard it it either. Good to see you back posting.
