AFS Enduro Sneak Peek with Richard from AFS | Pre-Release Ride
We had Richard from AFS hanging with us for a few days, and he brought something exciting-the AFS Enduro. It’s a pre-production version, and we were lucky enough to get our hands on it a few weeks before its official release.
The weather wasn’t exactly on our side-no wind, no waves-but those little bumps were just enough to get us flying with this new foil. We launched out of Santa Cruz Harbor to catch whatever swell we could find, and Richard didn’t disappoint, pumping all the way from outside the harbor right back to the dock. It was pretty epic!

Hi Joel, thank you for checking our video! I am actually using my FD only for sup surfing and I really like the advantage of using the paddle plus the assist for riding wave. I agree about your point of view but on gentle waves and for pumping mostly this type of mounting your FD can be interesting if your goal is to ride a small prone foil board as small as possible, that can help.

We’re going down the road of “Sinkers” thirty five years ago when windsurfing was at its peak. Smaller smaller smaller drove the occasional user (and there were hundreds of thousands in UK) away from the sport and into mountain biking. You have the opportunity to make foiling for EVERYONE. don’t show it on totally beginner non friendly boards. Show how it can be used to help beginners progress and you’ve got a huge market (me included). If it just helps an expert spend more time on the water then you’ve exhausted your sales base in about a week…..
