Straight to the point. Worked for me. Got a request to remove phone from wall. Stumbled upon this one and it helped .👍
Thank you for the feedback. Glad that it assisted you.
Way too slow
I agree and to complicated. That is why I came up with a better solution. Thank you for your comment.
I’m finding it hard to remove it from the wall, what’s the steps ?
That is why I created a much easier bracket to install and remove. The step to remove the Cisco bracket are to use 2 small screwdrivers or anything small that you can insert on both sides of the phone at the same time. Push in on the tools to release the 2 tabs on the inside and slide the phone up and off the bracket. If you are seeking a much simpler solution visit my website 8800phonebracket.com
This music is… bad. Really bad. The video and information was great though.
Perhaps that was intentional ;D Thank you for the feedback.
Thanks so much for sharing, straight to the point
Thank you for the kind remark.
Do you have sizes of this bracket at all?
I am sorry, I no longer have a Cisco mounting bracket.
Dou you have to put the phone exactly over the jack RJ45? Or you can put the phone in a place where the Jack RJ45 Connector is "far"?
You can mount it wherever you would like, then install the ethernet cable.
I had a recent install where the box in the wall was too close to an adjacent wall in a corner to mount the 8800 phone. I ended up mounting the bracket shown over the edge of the preinstalled wall box which gave me a few more inches. At the same site the cabling company missed a wall mount location. I was able to drill a 1/2" hole for a cable and place this bracket over the hole without a low voltage ring or special faceplate with pins. The bracket shown is a secure mount that is not easily removed. The down site of a bracket that relies on a faceplate with pins is the phone MUST be centered on the pins. Architects and system upgrades don't always leave room for a wider Cisco phone. If one has a faceplate with pins and the phone fits in the space a simpler pin based bracket would work and would be easier to remove. The big downside to the bracket shown is routine maintenance. Replacing a handset cord requires at least two hands to press both pins in and lift up on the phone. Handset cords are easily damaged. Always plan on replacement.
Put on wall and phone won't stay on holder. The angle of the bracket is flawed. Phone falls off!!!!!
The phone should have a little clip that has to be rotated in order to hold the handset properly when mounting the phone. Once that clip is flipped it has a little "nub" that will keep the handset in place while wall mounted.
@@8800phonebracket It does. but the instructions didn't say to flip over the nub. I did this morning and it works find. Thanks for reply.
@@8800phonebracketyou just saved me a few extra hours of hassle and drive time, thank you.
Can you tell me if the screw holes on this bracket are a one-for-one match with the screw holes for a 6921 series bracket? We're forced to do a replacement to get rid of those bugly (butt ugly) phones as they are no longer supported by Cisco. Thanks!
Hey Greg, I am unsure which screw holes you are referring. Please go to my contact us page at 8800PHONEBRACKET.COM and fill out the form. I will be happy to assist with what I can. Best, Doug
@@8800phonebracket My apologies, I meant the bracket mounting holes on the one in this video versus the 6921 mounting bracket holes that attach to the wall. I'm not going to go and fill out the form as I see you're trying to sell a product and I didn't realize that at first when I came across this video. I don't want to tease you with an order that I cannot place as we just placed an order yesterday for a bunch of 8800 series mounting brackets. Sorry.
@@hartzinmt Hey Greg, Yes I do sell a competing bracket , and I am always willing to assist others when I can. Best, Doug
Great video and great product but you guys must have designed this, I cannot find this anywhere on Cisco's website 7800-BRKT-STN and it costs $49 on Amazon, is that the only place to currently purchase these ? Gonna need about 6 or more of them....
Thank you for your kind comment. Yes, I designed the brackets to be easier to install and remove than the Cisco brackets. You can go to my website 8800phonebracket.com and send me an inquiry on the contact me page. I will be happy to take care of you.
thanks this helped of at my work in my office the maintenance didn't know what to do guy "Its ok we have youtube!"
Yes, the University of UA-cam. Glad it assisted . Regards.
Thanks mate, really helpful, I just don’t know how you could dismount it by one hand, that’s amazing: -)
Yes, that is why I invented my solutions. Theirs are way to complicated. Thank you for your comment. Best
Good idea. It is stupid that Cisco itself does not provide a way to attach the 7811 to the traditional 2-post mount for old wall telephones. Better mousetrap. Cisco, I am not mounting the phone to the wall in a prison. It does not need your huge overbuilt metal bracket mounting thing.
Thank you and well said.
I want to order do u have a discount for me pls?
I do not sell the Cisco OEM bracket. I produced this video to show long long it takes compared to my phone bracket, which mounts in a fraction of the time. If you are interested in my bracket, go to the contact page at 8800phonebracket.com
What drill bit size did you use?
If you are referring to the bit size for the anchors, then use whatever size the anchor manufacturer suggests . In my case it was a 1/4th inch bit.
