Is this a double recipe?
I personally made a double batch but the instructions and ingredients listed are for a single batch. Seems like I double most recipes🙃
@@mamashalldo Yes, I got that. I was being sarcastic because you only said you were making a double batch 52 times.
@ I’m sorry! I don’t remember exactly what I said anymore. I probably didn’t want to confuse anyone as to why the amounts looked different🙃
You just seem like the sweetest lady. I watch your videos before bed to chill out 😅they’re my comfort videos!
I love that! Thank you so much for the kind words 🥰. Thanks for taking time to comment 🥰
Hi! New subscriber here. 🎉 I’m here for the sharp shopper videos. Love to watch them, please keep them coming! ❤
Welcome new subscriber & thank you for commenting 🥰. I love to hear from my watchers 💕
That truffle garlic bread is very good. I got it last time I went and wished I would have gotten more.
I can’t wait to try it! Hopefully, it will be around a while and we can get more🥰
Just tried it! Wow! It is fantastic!!!
I am a nerd, I realize, but I get excited when I see you dropped a new video. I save it and watch during lunch break at work!
Awww 🥰. Your comment just absolutely made my day!
I agree. I've been waiting for a new video
Thank you 🥰
@@mamashalldo What location do you shop at? Would you ever have a meet up? I hope that doesn't sound too creepy! I'm about 90 min from the Lancaster locations. Just curious!
I most often (almost always) am at the Winchester, VA location. It is the location that is nearest to me. Very rarely I go to the Middletown, PA location. I was just at that location the time before this, and that was the first in probably 3 years! You must be in a different part of PA than I am. I don't get around Lancaster often...it has also been a few years since I was out that way...but if I was I would happily meet up:). I live in south central PA very very close to the state line of Maryland...just to give you a better perspective on my location.
Still ur video setting view cannot view more than 360p.. as I said it's ur UA-cam channel setting I guess if u already recording it to HD setting in your camera..pls allow UA-cam viewer to view more than 360p..720p or 1080p.. thanks
I’m sorry. So I was fiddling with this and trying to figure it out and thought everything was as it needed to be. I am now thinking it is a setting in the program I upload my clips to and use to combine them. I’m slowly learning. I apologize for the frustration😞
Ok that is exactly what is happening. I now have a higher resolution copy to upload from the program…I’m going to try and replace the video…not sure if I can but I’m going to try. Also, at last now I know for certain. I used the default setting for social platforms which was 640.
Great haul! I always enjoy Sharp Shopper hauls!!!
Thank you so much 🥰
Well thanks..after this hopefully I can watch it on TV with my wife without her complaining..hahaha anyways thank you
Hi. I’ve just bought this pattern. I’m luckily going on a World Cruise in Jan 2025 and want a crochet project to take to remember the cruise by and keep me busy during the many days at sea. Loved your video and will look for others you have done. We are sailing from the UK.
Hi:). This sounds perfect for your trip! I am so excited for you! A World cruise is on my bucket list! I hope you have a wonderful time! What colors are you planning on using for your Chrysalis?
I bought this today and tried it. Also got very disappointing results! 😢 Way too expensive!
It is pricey😔, and not what I was hoping for. Not a great combo🙃.
Did you get any of the Nature Valley cheddar cheese flavor? I did. They are ok, but not what I expected.
I did! I’m not sure if it was in this specific trip or not, but I did just eat one the other day. I’m not sure what I was expecting…but they are not what I was expecting either. It was also somewhat as if there was an aftertaste that was unexpected as well. Not terrible…just odd for some reason🤷🏻♀️
Trolls give me nightmares
Oh goodness that is terrible! Some are so cute but I can see others being creepy🙃
Bless you for rescuing those beautiful projects. The amount of hours put in make the very worthy of saving and going to a new home!!!
Thank you! I just can’t leave them when I find them! 🥰
Thanks, Shall. I love sweet and buttery fruits
Yum! You’re welcome:)
This is not a new thang
It may not be new but it is more recently an approved technique….since it was unapproved many years ago🙃. We are always just reinventing the wheel it seems 🤪
Thanks for sharing I just brought one from Walmart for $2.50
Ohhh what a great deal!
When I lived in South Korea I was gifted some persimmons that my landlady grew. I had never tried them before. They were good and super sweet. 😀
That is so cool and sounds like a lovely landlady🥰. Thanks for sharing:).
Could u upgrade ur recording setting for 1080p please..with current 360p setting blurry if watch on tv .thanks in advance
Hi! I had no idea I’m sorry! Guess I’ll have to figure out how to do that. It always says HD so I figured that was good.
@@mamashalldo if it showed hd setting..then it's not the camera setting..u should change setting in ur UA-cam then..thanks again
I will look into it! Thank you for your help:).
You have a sweet soothing voice. I heard you just fine without my volume being all the way up
By the way thanks because I have been killing myself in the kitchen for the last three days!
Thank you!
It sure does save some time and energy!
Oneida’s highest line (the most popular called Juilliette) is 18/10 stainless although it is no longer made in the US. It used to be made in NY by the same plant that makes Liberty but alas…. Business. Both my NY made Oneidas and my Asian made Oneidas have held up extremely well and I see no difference in quality despite people claiming that Oneida quality has dropped. Maybe the premium line of 18/10 has been protected. Those Liberties look a little thinner than the Lux line Liberties (like Betsy Ross) but look like they will last your lifetime still. I think the design pattern on the Liberties won’t age well and don’t seem as classy as the high end Oneidas. It would be the major reason I wouldn’t consider Liberty silverware except for the plain patterns. But it is great to support made in America.
I did not run across Oneida's highest line when I was looking for 18/10 stainless. I wish I would have found them to take a look. Thank you for all the information. So far the Liberty flatware is holding up well. I am going to do a video here before long as an update. I have discovered I need more though...we keep running out of spoons. My biggest complaint and really my only complaint is that the design isn't on the back side of the flatware that I purchased (it is on both sides of the butter knives). It isn't really a huge deal but I would feel like it was perfectly finished if it was, anytime I see the backside I think "There should be something better there!"
Nice to see your pretty face, finally.
Thank you 😊
I wish we had a location near me
Oh I wish you did too 😢. Do you have any discount grocery stores near by?
@@mamashalldo grocery outlet. Sometimes you find good stuff and sometimes you dont
We have a grocery outlet in a neighboring town…and I feel the same. Sharp Shopper is about a hour away from me, but I believe worth the drive!
I live in Pennsylvania and me and my mom usually go to the Belleville Location! We are on a low budget and sharp shopper is a miracle it’s crazy how much you save. Will be going to sharp shopper again soon next week I believe so can’t wait to see what’s there. Love you’re sharp shopper videos ❤
Thank you for commenting🥰. Sharp Shopper is such a blessing! When I end up at a regular grocery store and look at the prices…I just don’t know how people manage buying all their groceries there! I shop at two different discount grocery stores and then buy what I have to either at a regular store or Sam’s club (whoever is cheapest) but I typically work my meals around what I find on discount. I’m so glad you live close enough to get to a Sharp Shopper🥰
The Tuna Creamy Broccoli Helper is my favorite of the tuna ones!!!
I haven’t tried it but I should! I bet my children would like it and it would be an easy lunch time warm meal. My husband has a seafood allergy and had a terrible reaction to tuna (back when the allergy started) so I avoid shellfish/seafood when he is around. Sometimes I also forget that it’s safe for me and the children to eat when he is at work! Which is sad bc I love most fish and shellfish! It’s been so many years since I’ve even had the good old fashion tuna noodle casserole! Thanks for sharing!
I wish I had a Sharp Shopper. Personally I don’t agree with Chrissy Teigen’s political affiliations, so I could not purchase her products. God bless 🙏🏼❤️
Thanks for commenting:). I have no idea what her political affiliations are🙃. Sometimes I can be very out of the loop🥴. I don’t watch the news, but do read articles…however not the ones surrounding celebrities.
Hi I usually shop at the Winchester one as well (about 70 mins from my house), how did this location compare? Similar enough?
Thanks for commenting😊. It was different; different layout of some products but not all, different entry space…also a different fall candy assortment! I was most surprised by the candy being different I totally expected to see the same fall candy assortment. However, also the same…pricing seemed the same, similar products, etc. This location did feel busier, but maybe that was an isolated event:).
Happy Friday! I'm always excited when you post a new Sharp Shopper video!
Thank you for commenting🥰. Thank you for the encouragement! And a very happy Friday to you as well!
You are so lucky, Shall. I wish I had such a nice sibling who could give me things like the 1992 Wish Book!
I am! He is always giving me things he runs across🥰
Brava to you for thrifting! I used to shop at Goodwill, too, until a couple of years ago when I discovered the Big Cheeses at GW make somewhere between $200 thousand and 1 million dollars per year (depending on what internet search you do). I also found out that employees with disabilities are often paid less than minimum wage (as low as 22 cents per hour), whistleblowers have been fired, and safety issues have led to tragedy. Now my fave thrift store is The Humane Society Thrift Store, also the fave of all our town which voted it the Best Thrift Store - even against GW! We also have thrift stores for hospice, Teen Challenge, and other local charities. I try to be even more ethical about where my little money goes.
Oh wow! I didn’t know that information. Very good to know! Thank you for sharing🥰. We don’t have many competitors around here. I sure wish we did! I would love more thrift stores!!!
I did it - finally made it to Sharp Shopper this morning -- 81 was a zoo with the rain. I got about 14 bags for $94. Now to just put it away. Took me about 50 min (weather)
Hooray! What did you think? I absolutely hate driving in 81 in rain. Well I hate driving on any highway in rain actually…or any type of precipitation! I’m so glad you made it🥰
@@mamashalldo I went with a long list and was able to get about 3/4 of it -- no frozen foods - I found a few things that would be cheaper at Sav A Lot - - but everyone was very nice -- and it was not crowded at all.
That’s great! I do find things cheaper elsewhere sometimes too…but overall get a lot of great deals! I need to get there soon. My pantry is running low🫤
Online prices for tape is not always the cheapest, buy generally cheaper than retailers like Walmart, Staples, Office Depot. Several years ago Menards sold 6 or 7 rolls of tape plus a full size tape for $2.99 or $3.99 after rebate. I bought an entire pallet and then sold the tape guns, creating a profit in addition to getting the tape for free. Retail locations will often put items on closeout as they want to replace the item with faster selling items. They also put items on closeout when the manufacturer changes the packaging as they do not want to carry two SKUs for the same product and they also don't want to be seen carrying the old version of the packaging when their competitors carry the new one. Don't use bubble mailers as they provide almost no protection at all. Its like wrapping your item in a single layer of bubblewrap and putting it inside a #4 plastic shopping bag from a store. How does a bubble mailer protect your item from the impact and weight of a box landing on top of it? Ship items in boxes sourced for free from local stores as a box with internal padding will actually provide some protection. The only bubble mailer I've ever used is USPS's flat rate bubble mailer and that was only because it was cheaper to put the item in a box inside the bubble mailer than sending it in just the box. Poly bags are even worse. You might as well ship your item in a free plastic #4 shopping bag from a local store. How does a thin piece of plastic, with no padding, protect an item? Thank you labels are a waste of money and labor. The buyer does not care and they will immediately go into the trash. The buyer is not going to save the label and put it in a scrap book because they are so emotionally touched by the gesture. Don't use a printer that uses ink. A monotone laser printer with separate drum and toner will deliver the lowest cost. A high capacity toner cartridge for my laser printer that I purchased in 2001 will print 12,000 pages with 5% toner cartridge; however two labels per 8.5." x 11" page take up less than 5%. I've replaced the drum one time in 23 years. I get all kinds of paper that is essentially free as its left over from lots of items purchased at live auctions. I've also got multiple cases of Staples paper that I got for $4.99 or less per case during one of their promotions several years ago. Each case has 5,000 sheets.
Thanks for commenting! So much good information you have shared! Thank you🥰 I have thought about getting a thermal printer and may do that some day but for now I’m happy with the printer I have. The “thank you” labels are not anything I expect anyone to keep. I just like to say thank you where it is due. I have received comments in feedback about people appreciating the “thank you” stickers. I know I lose money on them but they really aren’t that expensive. As far as the bubble mailers go I generally add in some additional protection and secure the bubble mailer around the item. I put a lot of care into packaging and haven’t had many issues with items arrive poorly. Actually, very often people comment on feedback on how well things were packaged. I love the sound of that tape deal you got! Sounds wonderful! What I shared was my opinion and what works for me🥰.
What a fun find! Will you keep or sell?
Thank you:). Good question! I have been a little back and forth on keeping these or selling these🙃. I do really like some of the fabric, maybe I should keep my favorites and say goodbye to the rest. I have so much fabric😬
Yes speak louder. Ur voice is too low
I’m sorry.
Wild stuff, Shall. Where did you get the wish book?
Pretty amazing, right! My brother came across a stack of old catalogs and gave it to me🥰
@@mamashalldo what an A+ guy. That was very thoughtful of him. Does he often inspire your videos?
It was thoughtful! Sometimes he inspired videos🥰
250 kills botulism..200 is not hot enough
extension.usu.edu/news_sections/home_family_and_food/canning-safety Here is an article by Utah State University confirming this info. I set my oven to 200 just to keep my jars warm…not to sanitize them. When they are processed the sanitizing occurs.
I myself prefer liquid or powder detergent as its easier to control how much soap i need
I’m not a fan of the pods either. They look pretty but are so pricey! I also (in the couple times I have used them) have had issues with them dissolving, leaking, or bursting before I am ready to use them🫤. Hahah that may be user error🙃
Have you ever been to Broadway Virginia or Kessel town My cousins live not far from Winchester
I have not, at least the names of the towns don’t ring a bell. I live in PA and drive to the Winchester Sharp Shopper. I’ve done some visiting in VA but I am definitely not very familiar with the state. What I have seen is beautiful! Are you near a Sharp Shopper?
Actually people make this mistake a lot I learnt because I got sick and so sick my liver had shut down and never ever want any one going threw what I did I learnt as always watching utube but my mistake was thous micro mechanisms are still on the jars even after washing your jars so by as I learnt now placing them in an oven and sterilize the jars it’s a step I recommend to everyone because thous lil micro can sure cause some serious sicknesses especially because you can’t see them and then your food gets contaminated and boom sicker then anything you ever thought possible
They do still become sanitized when they are in the water bath as long as it is for over 10 minutes processing time. This is the new approved method. So they are sanitized you just don’t have to do the old pre-sanitizing method. However, do what makes you comfortable! After you have experienced food poisoning you never want to experience that again🥰
That coffee frosting on a chocolate cake is delicious!
That is a great idea🥰
I really enjoy your videos as I shop in the Waynesboro VA store, and this gives me a preview of what I will find there. Thanks to one of your recent videos, I was able to score a case of Don Peppino...love that stuff and my local Walmart no longer sells it. Oh, and you were right about the Australian candy bars, they were .69 just a couple of weeks ago. New subscriber and Thanks for letting us shop with you🥰
Thank you for commenting! I’m so glad you have enjoyed the videos:). Also…thank you for confirming the price on the Australian candy bars🙃…69 cents was an incredible deal. Thank you for subscribing🥰
What day do you find it less crowded - I finally got my insulated bags - and hopefully next week I'll have 2 days in a row without some sort of appt. At my age I need a day to rest after an excursion. I live probably 1/2 way closer than you do. (Hedgesville).
I know Hedgesville🥰. I am generally there on a Thursday evening but that’s just bc my husband babysits for me then:). Once someone commented on a video of mine and he had worked in a grocery store for quite some time. If I remember correctly he told me Tuesday & Wednesday were the slowest days. How exciting that you will be going soon!
Such a sweet story about the pictures!!!
Aww thank you:). I just loved those!
I would had love the 50 cents of the little packs and the assorted buttons
There is so much to love about that these sales! And each year you just never know what you are going to find🥰
Are these from your patio peaches? I just bought a bonfire tree and came across your page... i watched other video and didnt seem to be ready last year did you get peaches this year and how were they to eat?
These are not patio peaches:(. I actually removed those trees. They had beautiful blooms but I didn’t care for the small size. They were hard to mow around. I do wonder how they would have done if I thinned them. I know some people and growers say they are edible and others say they are not. I have several other peach trees…maybe more than several😶….just too many. These peaches came from some of those trees.
Bonfire peach only 6’ tall when mature. Maybe needs to thin the fruits early to not stress the tree and make bigger peach. Fertilize too.
Thanks for sharing! I appreciate the info! Do you have any of these growing?
Good afternoon. Just finished watching your peach concentrate video. I was wondering; #1. What type of peach did you use? #2. What's the steamer brand? #3. Was the juice watered down when you steamed it or did the flavor stay strong?
Hi:). Great to hear from you! The peach variety is a mystery. I have many fruit trees and know very few of the varieties. A orchard friend of a friend suggested perhaps they were contender peaches. But who knows! I do know they work well in just about every situation. They taste good fresh, freeze well, and can well. It frustrates me often that I have no idea what most of the fruit is I grow🙃. But I suppose there could be worse problems! The juice is not watered down when it is steamed. I do add water when we drink it bc it’s too strong as is. I do the same when I steam apples, grapes, cherries and pears too.
The steamer I have is called kitchen crop. I have a video all about it…if that interests you. I couldn’t find one locally so it is from Amazon.
@@mamashalldo Thanks dear. I appreciate you getting back to me. But yeah those jars looked bright and thick. In your professional opinion, could 1 gallon of peach juice make 3 gallons?
I don’t believe so, I think it may be too light on flavor. I generally take a quart and add one quart of water to start and then sample. The amount of added sugar seems to impact the amount of water you can add. Sometime I can add more water but I always sample at 1 quart and go from there….the most I have ever added for a quart of concentrate is 1.5 quarts of water. This is also kinda subjective to the fruit as well.
@@mamashalldo thanks love. I appreciate the info
I purchased my 1000 gallon tank out right.
That’s great! We have a 1000 gallon too. I like to not worry about the supply over the winter. I like to be prepared🥰
This was great. Thanks for the experiment and all the research. I have juniper bonsai I’m trying to figure out if they have the same thing. 👍
Oh goodness they might have it. I’ve learn not only junipers are hosts. They are definitely the most common but there are others. Sometimes it’s in the form of a rust and sometimes it does other odd things too. Right now I have an Asian pear tree which I’m pretty sure has a Gaul with the pear. It has the same tentacles in the fruit…not orange though. I also have some things hit with rust which I know is how this sometimes impacts other plants. I have a grape vine with a bad case of rust. Ehhh it’s not fun. It is amazing and incredible…but now I’m looking forward to the other side of it. After the video I discovered several junipers with Gauls. Not all had as many Gauls as the video juniper but it is widespread here on my property.
Those little soups would be so great for the new Blessing Box the church just put up --plus the Food Bank another church has on every other Thursday - - it's worth a trip down there just to get some case lots to help out those that can't afford food up this way.
That is a great idea! I will have to keep that in mind when I’m there next. Thank you for sharing:)
I was talking to a BFF last night and was telling her about Sharp Shopper and she had been to Winchester one - - she was apprehensive about buying meats there -- and I told her that you feed your family some meats from there and I think we are planning a trip. She would be coming down from 522 and I would be coming down I-81 - -can't wait to go.
That is very exciting! I really watch dates on the meats. If they are frozen I’m less concerned. I hope you enjoy your trip!
Would it be less effective if i sprayed in mid august
I have used it later in the season and it does still work. It is recommended to spray early in the season. There are a lot of details on the packaging about how to spray. If the vegetation is thick it may be harder to get the product into the soil. That is what stops the seeds in the ground from growing. I hope that makes sense:)
I live west of Martinsburg,, WV and have always wanted to go to Sharp Shopper to replenish my prepper pantry - - thanks for the VLOG - think I'll go for sure now that you have shown me around.
I am so excited you are going to check out Sharp Shopper! I think you are going to like it:). Thank you for sharing.
Can't wait to see what the hater posts this time. Great video, Shall. Keep it up! 💯
