O’Dell Wants To Spread Recovery Resources Widely
As a person in recovery, O'Dell feels grateful for the help he received from his community during active use, which allowed him to get treatment options instead of jail time. However, he knows his whiteness gave him a privilege many Black and Brown people in Kentucky don’t have. O'Dell works hard to spread tools like naloxone and fentanyl test strips to as many people as possible. He wants everyone in Kentucky to know about these resources and use them easily.
O'Dell has "overcome" tattooed on his knuckles as a reminder that anyone, no matter their situation or background, can overcome life's challenges. With effective support and treatment, there's no limit to what we can achieve.
