What fabulous ideas for this kit!

Love the kit! Really inspires me to build my own specially since I kinda carry most of the same stuff already but on different pockets/wallets. I carry a glue stick to pair with my lighter tho since I find it hard to carry super glue. If I would add anything in this kit tho, I'd add, a few sheets of sticky notes stuck to the lid to pair with your pen and pencil. I always keep 1 piece of it in my pocket mirror for the same purpose haha. Another small usb drive that acts as both a linux booth loader and and macrium reflect rescue drive. One of those saved my ass when the pc at work started blue screening. IT took a while to get to the shop so I slapped the usb to booth linux and get some documents. The macrium part would be nice to clone a sdd back up incase a windows update or any update would fuck the system up, just clone back the back-up image and it's good to go. Lastly would be some duct tape, once repaired an espresso machine with it to keep it in a functional state, once again while waiting for actual repair people haha, barista life I guess. Always loved your EDC stuff man!

I would recommend writing emergency contact numbers from family members on a small piece of paper and stick it on the inside part of the lid! In case the cellphone power dies, you have their contacts written down. I would also recommend you carry 2 paperclip & 2 safety pins! One important rule of thumb is "2 is 1, 1 is none"!

have you tried the Pilot Birdie Ballpoint pen? Its thin and short 😅

The combo tool is great for reducing size and weight. Nevertheless, I prefer the dedicated opener layer. The separate tools work a lot better on a variety of screws, including most Phillips, whereas the combo tool is sometines OK for some Phillips ina pinch, but not very good. I also prefer a thicker tool that I'm not afraid to use for some light prying. The edge on the can opener is also good for scraping. Plus on the Cadet you have an extra tool, and the tip of the nail file also works well on some rather small Phillips screws. The Bantam is crazy light and much better than nothing, but the Cadet gives me so much more options...

I love the Pioneer X... but for my pocket, I usually prefer the Pioneer (with the key ring ground off for better ergos) due to the size and weight. I pair it with a Swiss Card (nail care version) in my wallet for a lot of additional gadgets. When wearing jeans, sometimes I go with the X on a suspension clip, that way I hardly even notice it.

I think drilling a hole into leather with the reamer is much easier if you rotate the knife back and forth, instead of just pushing through.

I believe you just need some practice with the traditional one. Make sure that you hook the hook part of it under the rim (like you did with the combo tool), and go forward in very small steps, using small up and down movements. That way, you don't have to pierce a new hole each time, but instead you just cut the orevious hole further, just like with the combo tool.

Good job! I always trim my nails with my Victorinox scissors. The 91mm version gives you more power for your thumb
