Akko calls it “mid-pitched” compared to the Rosewood. I’d say it’s still on the clacky side of things.

    Weighting category grading is perhaps a bit flawed, as it is purely a personal preference? While I too prefer heavier switches like 55g linear actuation, lighter switches definitely have their unique feel, purpose and audience. This way, a simple matter of replacing a stock spring with your own favorite could raise the position of the switch in your rating list significantly.

    wow they do sound really good on your board anyway. I have a sama sm68 and just ordered a set of princess v3 tactiles for it which imo sound just a little better (to me) for quite a bit cheaper. these Akko's do be expensive lol I got 90 princess switches for like 17.59 shipped which to me has a better cost-to-sound ratio. I got 48g I hope I don't regret it, but I generally hate linears for typing anyway so I will most likely not have a problem since they actually have an actuation point that's solid. I just don't get why people like linears... to me it's like the whole indica vs sativa thing with linears being the indica lol

      I recently upgraded my test keyboard, so I'm glad to hear these sound really good. Also, you're right, these aren't the cheapest Akkos by any means, so I'm not sure how popular they're going to be.

    Hello ! I have a 2 year old Redragon Varuna k559 , and I got bored of my outemu blue switches, and recently bought the Holy Pandas V2 , and I realised they don't fit , but I rly didn't want to mod them and stuff so I just sold them. Now I'm thinking to get these ones since they are outemu so they should be compatible with my outemu sockets . But the only thing that kinda annoys me is the fact that it might not fit . I have looked at the difference between the outemu switches and the holy Pandas I bought ,I saw that they are just bigger , but idk if that the cause of them not fitting , or the pins . Please help me and tell me these ones should fit . My English is not that great and if there are any misunderstandings I can just rephrase my problem . Thanks !

    You need to be really careful with removing PBTFans keycaps. I had the BoW set and after removing the caps a few times with a keycap puller the top and bottom edges of the caps started to look fuzzy. Their lower-case text legends also aren't very good. If you're okay with dye-sub, NicePBT makes really nice alternatives that are nice, thick, and durable.

      @@KeebWorks Yeah. I bought them in 2022. I believe they were advertised and as v2. In keebtalk, someone elaborated about this issue. Also I was using WASD key caps, which do have pretty flimsy ABS stems. But nonetheless. Still works fine, though. ^^

  • @blackie75
    @blackie75 18 днів тому

    I have an old Corsair K-65 which came with these switches and I have to agree with your thoughts here. I can get 110wpm on them if I really try, but if I'm not warmed up or concentrating, they're incredibly easy to misclick. I've moved on to a custom keyboard now but one day when I'm bored I'll de-solder them and try out some different switches and caps.

    In your experience, during gaming when youre trying to Press a key asap and apply enough force to bottom out the key fast, does tactility and sound even offer better feedback than just the impact of the key hitting the bottom of the board? Im trying on decide switches for my next keeb and i would like to have the most feedback in a scenario when speed and sequence of the keys matter. Id be awesome if you could share some inshight on that

    The profile is such nightmare, not just height, those MOA aesthetics... It is cursed even without the RGB. Btw, i would like to see HE switch reviews. They're not that many, so i think you could probably cover all of them in just in a few videos. Bar the OEM custom ones. Like what I'm using Bridge 75 HE default switch, it is fine, but some switches has pingy or crunchy sound. Also the weighting isn't my favorite. I used to 62g at my previous keyboard. Gazzew bobagums. Some are scratchy when pressed off center, but they're quite smooth as factory lubed. I probably mod the spring or just bought a new ones if there's any pique my interest. And oh, i want to point one thing, maybe you could throw some points onto how good the switch with LED turned on? Newer switches has trend to put diffuser to make the LED looks brighter. Like the Leobog Gray v4, Wuque WS switches, some TTC switches, Gateron Pros. Like usually you're using them without LED. Just maybe. I'm not an RGB enjoyer, not that i hate them, but there's trend to that direction with newer switches. One more thing, you're used to list the scoring at the end of your video. Maybe you could share the spreadsheet at your description in the future? Thank you.

    For those seeking a little more accuracy. There’s a few of things worth mentioning: 1. The Cherry Brown and Black on this keyboard aren’t the exactly same ones I reviewed. I reviewed the Cherry MX Brown (RGB) on a Corsair K70 RGB and a non-RGB Cherry MX Black on a SteelSeries 7G keyboard. 2. A Gateron Yellow is in place of where the Kailh Yellow should have been as I couldn't get a hold of a loose Kailh Yellow switch. 3. This wasn’t intended to be a review - although, this variant of the GMMK is a solid board even if it is a bit outdated now, especially with more recent releases from Keychron. You can still buy these from Amazon UK at the time of writing, but probably not for very long.
