I won't judge the 'no expression' Scar as it was a live action. But still? Scar is just damn yelling, at least u can make him sing and jump here to there if you can't give him any expressions? He's just trying to rhyme words so that he can say "Be Prepared", there's no melody, music, tune or anything. He's just yelling.....They could've done a lot better

I know we loved him. i loved him too, but i would have rather Irons back are as Scar overs Jones as Mufasa. The villains were the best part of the originals and used jones as an example since the man was MotherFucking Darth Vader

tbh i love both of these. i like the original because...come on but i also like the new one. i like how it seems more serious and scar sounds a lot more intimidating in that one. i also liked when the hyenas started chatting "be prepared" that was amazing.

Fun Fact: Jeremy Irons, the actor who voices Scar, blew out his voice after singing the line "YOU WON"T GET A SNIFF WITHOUT ME!" and Jim Cummings, the actor who voices Ed the hyena, replaces him as the voice of Scar for the last part of this song.

There’s a freaking almost 30 yrs difference between these 2, and the hand drawn 1994 version of the lion king (the og) looks more visually stunning than the cgi that was the 2019 version

How to make such a menacing and cool villain boring 🙄 In the original version, everywhere scar touches cracks, fires, gets desctroyed and he rises up like satan. Then we have live action version who is giving a ted talk to bunch of hyenas.

Another reason why the original will live on forever and the 2 new crappy version will be forgotten

Man so i really am the only one who likes both versions. 1994 is your classic disney villain song, while 2019 goes to show just how MESSED UP and SADISTIC (please correct me if thats the wrong word.) he is. In 2019 he's more insane than 1994.

I have been on a nostalgia trip today listening to old disney songs and just wow. The new one is absolutely horrible, but next to eachother its even worse XD But i just adore the classic so much. Especially the parts of "decades of denial" until "and seen for the wonder i am" It is sung with so much confidence and power that you nearly *have* to believe him. Its no wonder he got all the hyenas on his side with that voice!

While I do like the 2019 version, I feel like it was significantly massacred, given it's much shorter compared to the 1994 version, and it also removed my favorite verse in the whole song from the original.
