Nothing beats the multiplayer of gears 1 for me. I’ve played them all but gears 1 was just so satisfying when u got kills. Only other one that came that close for me was gears 4 multiplayer

People blaming "woke" is so dumb. Gears had a trash story and characters since the beginning. Gears just stayed the same since 3. And the open world aspects of 5 were trash. And the xbox brand died which helped kill gears and halo. If xbox was still popular then halo and gears wouldnt be nearly as dead.

I do not care about any of this. GoW is by far the best third person shooter game ever made.

It's dead because they took a hyper masculine grimdark male targeted IP and tried to modify it to reach some of the female audience too. Unfortunately for them any gains made building a female audience were overwhelmingly outweighed by males abandoning the IP.

1/UE are still the best for MP in my opinion. The combat with the shotgun and sniper is just so fun.

I bought Gears of War 1 on launch day back in 2006. It was the first game I played that felt truly "next-gen" I was blown away by the graphics. I still love Gears of War's art style, I think all games in the original trilogy look great but loved the horror feeling and how literally and figuratively dark the first game was. I've probably played the first games campaign more times than any other game, both solo and in online and couch coop. Gears of War 1 was also the first ever console game I played online, still one of the best multiplayer games I've played. I honestly wish this series gets a reboot, forget that Gears 4 and 5 ever happened, a whole new cast of characters and bring the locust back and make the art style as close as possible to the two first games.

If they wanted a sequel all they had to do was create a trilogy from the perspective of the locusts called "Locust Of War" where we experience events leading up to E Day, E Day itself and eventually the death of the locusts. It would of been cool to play as some of the cool locust characters like Jermad and learn their stories and just expand on the Lambert and locusts as a whole that would of been dope but nahh too good of an idea.

5 was the best vs until they fucked up the tuning for cod tdm noobs, making movement not matter as nearly as much. making 4 the overall best multiplayer. yes the stories sucked (i didnt even play 4 or 5 story) and there is less gore, but gears is about the vs and always has been for the real fans

i want a come back i fvcken looovveeeee this game so much its the only thing i play and the character's are everything there perfect , here is my version of come back, the girl future queen get kidnaped by the monsters so delta squad does a come back with Marcus son and they do a extraction to save her and the humanity but they actually find a way to get red of the monsters for ever, am excited for the tv series .

Hopefully this gears adaptation (thats being written by not only a good writer,but a gears fan) take the series back to its original roots. If its like arcane and castlevania,and not like witcher and resident evil,we're in good hands.

Gears 1 didn't launch with tdm. It was just execution, warzone and assassination which was rarely played. Annex was the only mode that had respawns and that came later.

This story was the worse of the bunch by far! Kate and TC killed the franchise.... I will not play gears 6, both gears 4 and 5 were boring uninspired dumpster fires.

just some things i'd like to say: - open world in gears 5 wasn't actually a bad idea, just implemented in a way where it felt forced - gears 5's horde was absolute BOO-tay cheeks, and to make matters worst, they'd completely nerf anything remotely fun to the ground - overrun in judgement wasn't that bad, but definitely not anywhere close to horde 2.0 (gears 3 horde) - idk about anyone else, but i personally disliked 4's campaign
