Although HD doesn't give a shit about their customers reviews and inputs I bought this bag and never should have. There are just to many design flaws, No mistakes that should have never passed approval. Although great quality there are a few big flaws and at Harley prices one would expect perfection. A team of monkeys could have designed it better The rain cover was designed backwards. The Harley crest SHOULD be facing behind you so the traffic can see it,...it is reflective, but nope. When the bag is mounted on the rack of an Ultra you can not synch the draw string on the rain cover because it's on the back near the passenger back rest and can't get to it because it's underneath the rack. You actually have to put the rain cover on backwards so the HD emblem is facing the front of the bike to synch it tight. What good is that? The handles on either side of the bag is how you have to carry the bag into your room, Like you are carrying a laundry hamper , and try grabbing the handles on each side. The pockets are in the way and if the pockets are full very hard to grab. On that note if you are traveling and stop for any reason and need something from a pocket? The zippers are obstructed by the handles. Very bad design . Now where would have been a better place to mount a handle on this bag?? Any ideas? Oh I know how about on the front near the center of the bag? Ding Ding Ding like a suitcase or briefcase and that would have resolved a few issues. The pockets would be freed up to open and close and you could carry the luggage bag like a suitcase which it kinda is. The back pocket blows me away who the heck was sleeping when this was designed? Any guesses? They permanently mounted one end of the carrying handle to the inside of the pocket. INSIDE How stupid can someone be? Thinking this was a great idea? They should have made it so that not only one side of the handle clips to the D rings in the front BUT BOTH sides of the handles should clip to the D rings on either side, this way we can use the handle to carry the bag AND use the freaking packet as well. If you use the handle like I do you can not use the pocket for anything because the zipper will not close. I am surprised they didn't permanently mount the shoulder strap inside one of the side pockets as well. Seriously don't buy it Too many stupid design flaws and MISTAKES for the amount of money they are asking. Get a Rick Rack or go to a suitcase store get a small suitcase (carryon) bag for $30 with wheels and mount a Rick Rack bracket on it. You will be much happier and $150 richer .

There is a much better way to pack your jeans. Rolling them makes the jeans and other items smaller than folding

Good video but you do really over think things when packing for a bike trip. A lot of unnecessary stuff you are packing. Don't over think it when packing a bike.

I’m running the onyx collapsible luggage bag. It’s the best luggage bag I have ever used with the luggage rack. Plus it rolls up to a tiny package when not using

The advise that I always heard was that after figuring out how much clothing and money to pack, take half the clothes and twice the money. It’s proven true for me.

Good information thank you. It maybe video editing but your American 🇺🇸 is facing the wrong direction. Stars are in the direction of the movement if moving (on jacket sleeve) or to the left if a static display.

where do you put your dog and her food? me and my 85 lb pit just circumnavigated the U.S. on the cheep . we camped every night but about 5 or 6 and i dehydrated all our food for a month at a time. she sits in the top box spot. so i loose most of the space you have. ive got a northface duffle large and i put my leathers and Izzis rain gear in a small duffle on the front fender of my roadking. we logged 32k this year. shes 15 and im not. been ridding a little longer than you , about 45 years. I dont recomend ridding your dog if you dont love her more than your bike but my bike is just transportation for me and her. It go beat up and laid down a dozen times but we were going down sigle track, gravel /sand mountainous roads. this country is beautiful and the people ,if you leave out the politics are great. we saw the U.S for about 4K $ . thats a challenge to anybody willing to try.

I would always carry some extra fuel or empty 2 litre Jerry can and oil on a long tour, oil probably not needed if riding a Honda. Wonder if a good friend might have mentioned a buzz cut? The 1980s were a long time ago and no longer 20.

Tubeless tires on your bike? You need a tire repair kit. I carry one with the rope plugs with the tools needed to insert and trim them, and a small air compressor. Coming back from Olathe, KS, on my way back to New York, I got a puncture and was able to plug it and get home safely. That was the second time I had to repair a puncture on the road.
