    1. Happy Birthday Hayley!! Also your cat is cute!! 2. I am still mad about my Hubby's Grandma's gift. I burst into tears when I saw it because I was heartbroken. It has been a year! The year we got engaged she gifted me her first ever gift to me and it was a box of kitchen stuff so I could cook for her grandson. -_- Her gift this year comes in today.... I am afraid... oh well if I hate it I will just return it for Witchcraft books for the second year in a row. 3. YES!!! I am 5'3" and I have to wear skinnies only. 4. For years my mom refused to buy me anything goth or anime or Japanese related until I got married. She wanted me to be normal so badly!!! As for my hubby, he is hit or miss. Sometimes he can be romantic. Other times it is from the list. He tries.

    Phobia means fear. What exactly is fat phobia? I'm not afraid of fat people. Are their people who are fearful of fat people like spiders or heights?

    • @ThePlusSizeSection
      @ThePlusSizeSection 8 місяців тому

      We can't speak for the entire world population regarding whether there are people who are fearful of fat people like spiders or heights. The general definition of -phobia is 'an exaggerated or irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against ...' So in this context, fatphobia is similar to homophobia. So people may not be deathly afraid of fat people if they see them on the street, but they may be disgusted at the sight of a very fat person. Or they can be afraid of gaining weight and becoming fat, or may treat themselves poorly if they ever gain "too much" weight. They may call fat people lazy or immoral, perpetuate negative stereotypes about fat people, make jokes about fatness, or treat fat people very poorly just because of their size. Just like how someone who is homophobic could be very upset if a gay individual expressed a romantic interest in them. Or can be disgusted by seeing same-sex couple PDA interactions. Homophobic people could refuse to interact with gay people, say that they're are immoral and going to hell just because they're gay, make jokes about being queer, or treat someone badly or even commit a crime against them because they're gay. Other examples of the use of -phobia in this connotation are transphobia, islamophobia, and xenophobia.

    My hang-up with the wasting food story is that red meat isn't super great for you anyway. Why is the fatty portion of meat the hill mom chooses to die on? Her daughter is gaining weight? Oh, you mean the thing teenagers do because their body is developing? I have a parent like this who is sadly the product of growing up in the 90s and early 2000s and always criticized my weight as a teen. We aren't genetically the same, she is my step-mom and never got that. She tried to empathize with me saying she understands what it is like to be fat...her top out weight was 175...Like, girl. I have 0 tolerance when it comes to pushing your issues onto your kids. I have 2 and would never imagine treating them like I was treated.

      Bold of you to assume, as a self-described fat man, that neither of us have lost a significant amount of weight already or are currently on intentional weight loss journeys? It’s okay to decide to lose weight for yourself and also agree that fat people are treated like shit. These thoughts can exist together.

  • @EricCheVe
    @EricCheVe Рік тому

    If you dont wanna lose weigth its ok, but dont make stupid posts about body positivity for the younger generations 2 watch. Surgery is not the easy way out, you all so lazy that prefer getting buchered that going to exercise and swet a little. Lose skin may not be aesthetic but it wont hurt ur health, lose skin CAN'T kill you. You should apply to yourself the last sentence and start to worry about yourself and not about what ppl think, cuz if you really think about it you are worried about what ppl may think about your body more than your own health. Theres a reason why theres no fat elders around sharing the sme speech, they all dead. And to be honest most ppl dgaf about your look, its all in your head. Do you want an original advice? Leave USA for 6 months, come to Europe and you will lose between 50 to 100 lbs just by eating more healthy food ( you have way less junk food to chose here ) drinking mostly water avoid all those filthy sodas zero or not, and walking from one place to another, we walk to everywhere and you guys take the car to buy bread... Its really not that hard as you all want it to look, with a few little changes that u can mantain from a long period of time, it wont be as hard to stick to the plan, its something that u can actually add to your normal life and if you drop weigh progressively you will have less lose skin If you feel like thats way to hard for you, its ok but stop the fatphobia speech cuz u all ill and will die by time you are 50 to 60 yo, so stop caring that much on what ppl think or say and start to care about your own health

      @@ThePlusSizeSection it takes a couple seconds of my time and it might help, i am a psychologist lady, i know what im talking about, this is not hating, this are facts, you could accept them and from then on decide what is the course you would like to take to live a better life with yourself, or you could stay in denial, trying to change society as a whole instead of changing something about yourself
