What a beautiful property
Great video> it was nice to see grain farming happening that far north. Put more videos out PLEASE !!
Wish the guys from Diesel Power would watch this video......they absolutely don't have a clue how to operate a dozer.
lttl858 Some people are born with the ability and some not, people like him have it along with several thousand hours in the seat. That seat balance and the talent to see where the bottom of the blade is and coordinate it together is what hits this kind of result. ChiefD
That's a rare bird. Any chance of an in-cab video?
Not as rare as you think. It's the little brother of the 227. many 215 and 217's were the forerunner. Shares the boom and whole buncher package put on a smaller carrier. It's the last of the old school Cat machines. Has the latest (for the era) piston pumps and XT-5 pressures. 3304 Engine. Turbo and aftercooled. High capacity cooling system and top mounted hyddraulic oil cooler. Finning put them together in Canada. Lots logged in B.C. in the day. No I haven't made a vid from the inside. It is pilot control joy sticks.
Good job. How old are you
Great sounding dozer, decent operator.
Thanks bud. I love this old Cat and it keeps doing me well. If you check out ACMOC you will know the work that I put into this machine. Cheers.
I am corrently restoring a 14a d8f that was built in york pa had to put new sleeves in it and had crank in pony fixed for new bearings and rebuilt
he is a great operator
great to see someone that can drive stick these days great old dozer
John Beales worked for my Dad for 9 years, 1955- 64. That's where he learned how to build clearing blades. My father and his brothers came up with the idea as they wanted something relatively light and strong with stump splitting ability and some openings for visibility. John eventually made quite a business of building clearing blades. No flies on John, he was a bright guy.
That’s 510 “Western Special” ... we had one but what was the difference ???
I believe the "western special" was just a specific way the combine was put together. 350 engine, short auger, hopper extension, AC. extra beater in front of cylinder. Sticker on the side.
Pioneernorth Ha . No AC in ours it had that “by cool” you filled with water . Then you’d hit a bump and a bunch of water shot through the fans right at your face lol , didn’t mind that cuz that cab with that 350 wound out right behind ya was like a sauna in there !
Good ole tractor!! Nice!
I’m Impressed! You look like you were born on that Cat.
what model of cutting head is that and who makes them perfect setup for what i need just shorter.
The saw head is a Canasaw 18 inch head. It has a 3/4 pitch harvester bar for the saw. These heads were specifically built for the 1080 series bobcat. They were produced in Prince George B.C. in the 1990's. Really a tough reliable setup and very capable. Were not that many built and the company is now defunct.
ok so what your saying is that the company that use too make them is not long around right. is this also a cutting head you own yourself and if so how can i get ahold of you about it sence youtube no longer does messaging witch sucks. thanks.
@@jeromyw385xp I own and am not selling it. Last ones I know of were around Prince George. Maybe put an add in the Supply post. These heads were $28,800 back then.
thats fine i understand that. i just wanted too talk too you about it and get some details about it thats all. i have a guy in bc who is in the process of getting me a head built sometime next year and any details of what you have may help us out in the build process. thanks.
@@jeromyw385xp I have a machine just like it with a feller buncher attachment
Great video, they don't make them like that anymore
nice work keep it up.
The field is at 2300 asl. The first 350 feet are an up hill run. Plane does better on level field.
What field altitude are you at?
