I feel very much Swedish elements of this interior, I have been into the Swedish Gustavian colour pallet since my very early 20’s, and I’m 46 this month! The orangy red you so love to use, I’ve seen this used a lot in certain elements in Crown Princess Victoria’s home at Haga Palace in Sweden. My ex has a beautiful apartment for over 20 years in Cote St Luc, in Montreal, he also loves to spend as much time as possible in his bed since he was a very little boy, because of the harsh winters. Your third secret chalk wall, as soon as I clapped eyes on that, I thought that’s Rajiv Surrendra!! Is not it??!! Ja! It has to be!! He is such a beautiful soul! I adore his spirit and his talents and abilities! He is Canadian and he lives in New York City! It has to be Rajiv, I’d know his work anyplace!! If you and Rajiv are tight, I am the happiest woman in the world! I don’t know what to do with myself at this moment! You have a very beautiful home! Blue is my favourite colour, also. I adore Sweden Seraphim blue, the moody powder Prussian blues Gustavian blue, and feather blues. I’ve stayed in Downtown Manhattan, I think I was on the Upper East Side, the former Marriott on Eastside on Lexington Avenue, it was across the road from the Waldorf Astoria hotel, I remember one day standing outside my hotel looking across the street to the Waldorf and thinking, ‘If I could turn back the hands on time, I’d see Grace Kelly arriving with Prince Rainier of Monaco for their Engagement Gala Ball! I love your cute little cosy start to the video! Hajajaja So sweet! It’s so strange, in the three times I’ve flown to Montréal from Australia, I’ve only ever been there in Spring and Summertime! I actually was in Montréal for the Summer Solstice in June 2016, I flew home to Australia, then 12 days later I flew back to Montréal because my love at that time and I missed each other too much, we’d done his passport on my first trip there so he could fly home to Australia with me, but it wasn’t ready yet and I was scheduled to fly, I had to get home to pay my rent Hajajaja I was not so tecchy back then. So I flew straight back to Montréal and it was on that second trip, that my love took me to New York, because he knew that I had always wanted to see the Empire State Building and the Art Deco buildings since I was a very little girl. He booked on my return flight to Australia, as soon as I landed, and before booking New York. Montréal is a charming, jewel of Canada! They call it the ‘Paris of the North’! I’ve ever never been to Paris, my mother has, she is German born and grew up in England, and her Aunt Freda had a grand house in the South of France that she would visit. Your videos are a feast for the eyes, I love that you love the history, there’s just nothing like travel, my Australian Aunt says, it’s like money in the bank, I’m meaning the experience of it all. I don’t have a canopy bed, but I walked into the bed shop one day, saw a bed in a Baltic stain I said I want this bed, but I want it this high, ‘Higher than the windows’ Princess and the Pea! I said I want the Timbers this much a part, and I want it to be Australian Timbers!! Not something that’s been dragged through a wet forest in Asia and ‘dried out for a month’! Hajajaja She gave me the tape measure and said ‘How high do you want the bed head’?? Hajajaja She was shocked at the height of the foot end or foot rest lm not sure how that is called exactly haja! Wheh the bed arrived, it was made on the Gold Coast, she said, ‘No Victoria won’t like the Timbers that far apart, take it back add another closer together and repaint it’, she said trust me, I knew you wouldn’t have been happy with it! My former Sister in Law Rosetta she was a cutter and Bridal Designer for Winnie Yueng in Australia, she’s had her own label R Divine for 30 years, but she told me many years ago, that ‘You can mix 11 different fabric designs, ‘Before you go wrong’! She’s Italian, and covered her sofa in a stunning azure blue durable heavy drill sort of cotton fabric, and run up ‘a million’ ‘little pillows’ Hajajaja in a fun little mix of ivory self patterned large stripes with a navy blue cord rope around the edges, a navy damask with an ivory rope trip, a gold with navy or cobalt blue and you name it! This was way back in the very late 90’s and she is Italian so therefore blue, no other colour matters Hajajaja! It looks very unique very her’ very classy and fun stylish. I love how your so considerate of your camera crew with regards to the traffic. I’ve flown to Montréal from Australia three times, my former fiancée lives in Cote St Luc, he was born in Montréal in 1966, and is a Montréaler. When I was in Montréal, which I’ve spent several months there on my trips, one of the happiest days of my life, was spent in Parc Rene Ve Levesque in Lachine Canal. I was enjoying to walk by the sea or St Lawrence River, it was I believe, squirrel furry friends, but what stands out to me, familiar to this, is the St Anne school I think it was called, St Annes, there was a fantastic little Brocante Antique shop there, full of exquisite antiquous chairs tables lamps and books, china, I fell like a pine, for a row of 100 year old Prussian powder blue fabric covered books, all in powdery muted blues! Exquisite absolut! The churches, the limestone I believe is used a lot? It is so pretty! I remember a particular church in Lachine Canal, it is the City of Churches, Montréal obviously! Hajajaja! I’ve always said, Montréal is my Second home, because my love lived there. We were together for 5 years he was the love of my life. The 10,000 miles was not helping things, unfortunately! It’s absolutely stunningly romantically historically beautiful! I discovered you last night, I was instantly captivated by the cover of the video. I’m very drawn to colours and I love the Nordic Swedish Gustavian interiors for about the same time you’ve been a NY designer. Another reason I resonate so completely with you, is my former love is a Montréaler. I’ve flown to Montréal from Australia three times, and we went to New York together in the Summer of 2016, which was a dream and just fantastic. He lives in Cote St Luc, and we left from Laval at 3:00 am on Frenzy tours. The moment we arrived into New York City I fell absolutely in love with it like a crazy person! We stayed at the Marriott on Eastside on Lexington Avenue, which was exquisite. Very NY Clubby jazz vibe. We went to the top of the Empire State Building, sailed around Miss a Liberty, went to the Brevoort in Greenwich Village, were super fans of Buddy Holly, he lived at Apt 4H. We did the Paramount Theatre WTC Times Square and you name it. I’ve spent months in Montréal and know it like the back of my hand, I know of McGill University, I’ve met people who’ve attended there, my ex fiancée went to Wagar High School, and Dawson College and Vanier. I fell like a pine for the Orange Julep on Decarie Boulevard. I love Rockland and Quatier I can’t think of the name Hajajaja. We toured Old Montréal several times, Pierre Du Calvert which I adore, opposite the Old Sailor church, Hotel De Ville, the Italian Butterfly restaurant in Old Montréal, Monkland Village that fancy old Bagel shop. You are very much like my former fiancé, he actually celebrated his 50th birthday in Australia in 2016, and although my third trip to Montreal was in 2018, I spent months with him when he was turning 50, he has your exact build, slim stylish same accent obviously, so I feel like I know you, if that makes sense. Now to your interiors, if I was wealthy enough, I’d be working with you, absolut!! You have a gift, and you are extremely blessed with what you have, and your joy and serenity is a joy to watch. I cannot help but watch all your extremely beautiful and inspiring videos, with a cup of tea obviously!
