This has been such an insightful session. I Particularly love the point Rosemond made about everyone being a storyteller. As a startup storyteller, I emphasize the need for startups to share their stories. It gives people an idea of who you are, what drives you, and what made you launch out. It fosters a connection between you and your target market/investors alike. As a lawyer looking to gain expertise in VC/PE and the startup ecosystem, I couldn't agree more with the insights shared here. Investors now look at startups who have structures in place and can deliver what they say they can. Sometimes on Lion's den, you see founders who come to raise funds with zero preparedness. Of course, trust the Lions to have their field day. And you see others who have done the work - from giving a great pitch to sharing their story, to establishing that they have a viable product and a market for it, to interpreting the numbers accurately etc. They get it right and walk away with good investments. Aligning with your positions, there's a lot to be done on the part of all players.

I could not attend the live seession because other events took me away from phone. I want to say that before an entity whether a not-for profit organization, a business name or a limited liability company can obtain the SCUML certificate, that entity must have a corporate bank account. It is after the entity has gotten a corporate account with the bank that the SCUML certificate can be issuesd.
