How does it compare to the Ryobi glue gun?
I actually prefer glue pen, mainly due to its size and portability, uses same size glue sticks and warms up in 30 sec, cant beat it
@@Nedstooltalksounds good, I was looking at both today and couldn't decide, I had a quick search online but no comparisons
Thank you! I appreciate SEEING someone assemble it!! 😊
Rubbish
The light tray is amazing value for $30. Not sure it would be worth it for anyone at the old price of $80. The multi charger would be nice if you had a lot of tools, unfortunately there is not much range for these tools yet in Australia, the US has many more options.
I really like that charger, I got one as well! I also got the 8NM ryobi ratchet - and wow, I love that thing! It's perfect for small fasteners all over the car and anywhere else, and 8NM is still plenty of power for those (even too much for plastic and other smaller fasteners). For big fasteners, my bigger ryobi ratchets are great but whoever said this thing didnt have enough power is very much wrong.
FIRST
Good video. But I went out and bought one and instantly returned the piece of crap.
what was wrong with it
Thank you, good job. Ryobi vs Jbl. In my opinion JBL is winer.
very nice
I have this Ryobi tool, one of many various tools I own in the line. Of all of them, this one gets used the most!!! Because of the excessive use I put it through, the blades have become dull. According to the Home Depot website and comment from Ryobi, a replacement blade is not available. This is a big gripe I have as to replace it, it would be $150!! They suggest to sharpen the blades which is a joke. I will say it does take a lot of strain off the wrists, especially for the older folk. One more thing, the guy is telling you the truth, don’t get your fingers in the way or you will be missing one… 😱😱😱
I have this brushless ryobi. It stopped working after 6 weeks. I agree on blade sharpening, but it's cut is rather slow. I did use it a lot but am looking for another brand rather than a replacement.
@@rit1chea Maybe I should do that too, with one that offers blade replacements.. but then again, I’d have to get a different battery platform 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ Can’t win…
On my to get list mate 👍🏻👍🏻🇦🇺😎👏🏻
What a nice clean and tidy work room.
Your walking in the wrong direction that's why your getting the clippings on your front door
my line got stuck inside
This thing sucks for edging it’s so uncomfortable
uncomfortable how?
Thanks very much,I bought today I used and I cleaned after I follow your instructions,I’m very happy with it …good explanation…very happy with this machine Bissell …good years ago y had a vax …I love this …one good price
Svaka cast 👏
Great video and presentation, thank you. I purchased the GSS 18V-13 regular orbital sander because I wanted a single, versatile tool to maintain a minimalist approach to my belongings. 😊
Thank you for kind words 😀
Why does the Australian version (RRW4K) have half almost half the power (8NM vs 10FL LBS or abut 13.5 NM) and 10 RPM less (210 RPM vs 220 RPM) compared to the US version (FVRC51K)? It really feels like Australia is a dumping ground for Ryobi for subpar versions of US products. Is the torque and RPM just being measured differently or are Australians getting shafted yet again?
I do feel also that Australia gets a bit worse products in general, not just from Ryobi... Its probably because its a small country when you look at population in comparison to us.
@@Nedstooltalk Definitely agree there! I had to order the Ryobi 3/8 multi size ratchet from the US, just because it's not available here. I like the Ryobi ratchets in general but when I look at US prices, it's obvious to see why Ryobi is popular here - in the US an M12 ratchet is only a bit more expensive than the Ryobi one here, but over here the M12 is almost twice as much! Crazy price differences
@@Nedstooltalk I have to say, having got it and used it - it has plenty of power! About 8NM, but thats plenty for small and sensitive fasteners (and almost too much for plastic ones) - I think its a great amount of power for sensitive fasteners. Very very happy with it! (I used the bigger ryobis for bigger fasteners)
You should have more subscribers! I have the $499 whisper one with the front drive motor (something like that) and while it’s doing me great, I’m thinking to think I went overboard and should have gone with the standard 36V model. Well since I already have it I’ll keep it. I’m just budgeting to get the 36V mower now, the newer 2022 (I think) model. Never going back to petrol, no getting hands dirty, far less maintenance, less noise and of course no more smell and fumes. Oh and I forgot to mention the costs of oil and topping the Jerry can adding up. Go green! 💚
Many benefits to battery tools, i have whisper one from 18v range and i find it top heavy, i still prefer this 36v one...
Content idea that I can't find ANYONE has done: This mini speaker vs one of the round head clamp speakers. 1 to 1, is the mini speaker close in volume etc.?
I can tell you that both speakers feel and sound cheap, plastik, no depth to the sound. Clamp speaker costs $99 Aud, for that money you can buy a very good jbl speaker that cannot even be compared to any of ryobi speakers. Hope that answers the question at least a bit 😀
i hate these tools with stupid batteries just set it up for reg 18650 no bs i can buy a charger and battery for cheap not tripple the price
That souds great for us, but not for them😀
I have the same saw as my first chainsaw for backyard work. Very good saw. Went through 4 chains and 1 bar in 3 years. Bought a Homelite petrol chainsaw from Bunnings a year ago for cutting iron bark firewood as the Ryobi simply couldn’t cope with the iron bark. Last month bought the Shindaiwa 501SX 50cc pro saw to cut a silky oak down. So I have 3 now but there is always a place for this Ryobi 12in electric baby.
I've had one for 5years use the shit out of it runs just like the day I bought it
Thanks for the informative info. My first power tool, very helpful!!! Glad I found your video.
What is the connector under the switch? Can you plug it into the wall?
You cant, battery only
@@Nedstooltalk okay. So what is the connector under the switch for then?
@@ColinRichardson screw hole
@@Nedstooltalk AHHH, it looked like a barrel connector from the quick view I had of it.. Sorry for wasting your time. But thank you for answering my questions
@@ColinRichardson not a problem bud, have a great day
Hi, can it tighten nylock nuts? M6? M8?
Maybe m6, but m8 no way
They are an excellent tool but a bit pricey. $259 in NZ
My mistake $249 at Bunnings NZ
Yer ryobi is slowly getting more expencive. I might do some videos about ozito tools, i wonder how they perform for their price point
Thanks, I think. Just watched this and now I have to have one. Trimming the branches into smaller pieces to fit in the trash can is what sold me. Old guys like me appreciate this stuff.
Thank you Ned, very informative. I have just bought this for pruning around the garden and being an older woman was a bit scared to use it. After watching this I feel quite confident to give it a go now.
Thank you for comment. I am happy to help 😀
Perfect, just what I was looking for ...thank you
Ha Ha ..you gave us a good 'review' mate ....thank you. Might have to get myself one, like you, I wont use it that much so should last years and I already have two 4ah batteries.
Great video! Is it possible to sit down next to the table to work on something or do the legs and lower shelf get in the way?
Hi, thanks....you can sit down but lower shelf is same width as top of the bench, so it will 100% be in the way.
Thanks for the review. Very comprehensive.
just got mine. love it. added a 1/4 "F-NPT Jaco lightning S-Series tire air chuck and a Milton S-684-4 1/4" MNPT Male Tank Valve for easy quick release on the tire valves. no more screwing with the default attachment. you will thank me later
I might try that. Thanks for comment
Thanks for showing it used on pallets. That's exactly what I was considering getting one for. For chopping up rubbish pallets at work and hoiking them in the bin
Can you extend the height of the work surface? I’ve found that most of the work tables are too short, they need to be adjustable, so you don’t need to bend over when using it!
You cant, i do find it low as well, another 60-70mm would go a long way .
I bought one last year June 2023. It’s awesome, so much so, I’ve given a couple away as gifts. Thanks!
I use mine all the time, works great with the item laying flat pushing away from you. And it’s only $50 but on sale all the time for $30 I get cramps in my hand using a razor knife but not with this tool.
Is the Ryobi thing for the kid because DeWalt has a better hoover
We'll assume it worked.
the lock to hold the bits in is trash broke in a week...the driver works good...being able to put a bit in is just a gimmick
He has my trouble, you cant disassemble the head to remove the string that is stuck inside, older models have a system where you line up the arrows and it pops apart, can't even unscrew the head from the shaft as they say you can.
Head comes apart very easy, there are 2 knobs on the sides, push them in and just pull it off. I have fixed mine in 2 minutes, line was stuck, gave it some lube and works like a charm now
@@Nedstooltalk Thanks for that, got it sorted, but have re installed the cheap alloy head I got off ebay for about 11 bucks that you just insert short lengthd of line, it came off my broken down ryobi which had motor failure, funny part is i paid 299 bucks for a battery but then found the irreplaceable motor was the problem, new trimmer without battery and old style motor was 279 buck, and a new one with battery and charger and brushless motor was 429 bucks so i bought it and sold the battery for 150 bucks to my neighbour who needed a new one, my loss his gain.
How does it go with carpets and pet hair?
Carpets are fine as long as its not thick one. Pet hair i wouldnt know, i dont have any pets, but the single roller does pick up dust nicely... i will do a review soon and compare it with a pet model with dual brush i got that one as well...
I like it . What about around trees
You can, it is a fiddly in smaller areas.
Excellent video mate!
Thanks mate
Good 👍 video
Thanks buddy👍
One thing no-one mentions in their reviews is the durability or lack of, of the cloth catchers. Are they durable, or would they eventually suffer the effects of the uv?
I own this mower for 2 years and 4 months now, not a single tear in catcher....it all comes down to the end user, uv would make a significant impact on it if it was stored outdoors, but my mower is stored indoors, it only takes an hour or two to cut the lawn so it would take a long time for sun to destroy it while out mowing. Hope that helps
@@Nedstooltalk thanks for the reply Ned. That's good to know. I've had plastic carry bags deteriorate and turn to shreds inside my house.
I love the older model inverter, so I ordered the new one for the charging capability. I just got both items yesterday, Home Depot $79 for the inverter and $99 for the solar panel. About 7 hours to charge a 2Ah battery with partly to mostly cloudy conditions. I'm still happy I got it.
I live in Puerto Rico and i went to buy a solar panel and they said they dont deal with solar panels
In homedepot where did you buy it am interested
we only get 5amp battery in uk currently but i love the ryobi brand and have several other tools in the range
