Burning Dreams - Greg Jackson

Lately I have been working on writing outside of my usual melodically driven, guitar-centric genres - stretching my compositional muscles and exploring some new flavours. For this piece I specifically went for mood over melody - It's been interesting and fun and I'm happy with the musical result. A big thank you goes to Beachfront B-Roll for the fantastic HD footage in this video. Audio Downloa...

I started writing this melodic instrumental track in November 2017 and recorded most parts except the guitar solos which I recorded in February/March 2017. Big thanks to Beachfront B-Roll for the excellent free shoreline footage. Audio download available from gregjackson.bandcamp.com/track/sun-on-the-water/

Here's a short video for "Reminiscence", a melodic acoustic strum-along piece I wrote and recorded in mid October 2016. The guitar is in DADGAD or Celtic tuning which really sounds great with these kinds of chords. You can stream/download the audio track for free at gregjackson.bandcamp.com/track/reminiscence/

Thanks for this tutorial. I think your lesson is the easiest for a beginner to understand.
How do you stop the loop completely without it briefly playing what you just recorded? Double tapping does stop the loop but it doesn’t erase it. What am I doing wrong? Lol
Pô .... Que introdução Fóda ..... Será que foi gravado com esse Chorus !?? Top

Good solid review 👌 thanks for the info and quality
What power source does one need to buy for this gadget.
For some reason, I get latency when I do this on the FB2, any tips?
so you cant play a clean loop and go over it with a dirty one, it makes them bolth dirty
I know the video is old, but I just did this. Sounds great! The current editor 4.XX would not allow me to adjust TZF. Several options were greyed out on many of them. The Tri Chorus template I used had it set at 40, which is pretty low. Seems to sound the same as yours. Thanks for posting these. I never would have the knowledge or patience to figure this out. I had considered replacing mine with a pedal that did vibe as well. No need now.
Awesome and genius! This is the Flashback programming equivalent of Stairway To Heaven! And Hotel California! Gonna try to do this in the Flashback 2!
Had mine for 4years and love the simplicity and sound is fine.
Not only has this video given me my favorite sound out of the FB, but it's also showed me so much about how to use the TonePrint Editor. THANK YOU!
how did you manage to make it not click when switching from one loop to another?
That pedal sounds like an expensive chorus. A hidden gem! Great sounds!
I bought this looper so I can fine tune my pedal and amp settings hands free.. allowed me to objectively dial in a harmonious perfection of my settings :)
Great video! I learnt so much from this tutorial. Thank you! I wonder how you mapped the FX level knob.
You managed to build multiple, distinct effects, all within one TonePrint. Well done.
Would there be any way to make it so it can turn both loops on too?
yes, there is a possibil, for that you need two pieces of 3dtdp switches
Good advice on not muddying up the signal. Good demonstration tutorial too. Thank you!
Thank you soooo much for this! This is what I've been searching for for a few years now! I also have a Julia Chorus/Vibe and have a JC-120/CE-1 type tone set that I love but I have also been attempting to match my Flashback to do the same, this tutorial was perfect for what I wanted (needs a little more brightness but that a limitation that I'm willing to live with). Thank you thank you!
Were you able to get the TonePrint configured with the new TonePrint interface? I had difficulty following this guide because the interface is much different now.
@@RileySullivan It's so frustrating that I have not come across a single video that demonstrates TonePrints with the "new" interface!? 😒
Absolutely stellar demo ... period .
So is this only possible using the chorus vibe toneprint as a starting point? Because I can't find this toneprint on their website
Thank you for the lesson. It was easy and clean like the pedal. I got one question, how to erase what I already got on loop without playing it. There is always the first tone when I hold the button to erase and if do this while playing is messing with the song. Thanx :)
Bro, you from NZ? Kia ora mate. Great vid.
still sounds like a chorus to me
Sweet, what about having the mash button set for seagull noises for some early Floyd noodling.
Will it work with piezo pick up?

Best “how to use” video I’ve seen . Thank you 🙏
1:35 lovely delay
Thanks. Finally a video that I can understand and makes sense
Thank you for this awesome creation sound ! As I have the toneprint 4.4.3 version, could you do it on this on3 as the template changed ?
Well this has helped me. Thank you sir.
Fantastic. I just created my own vibrato the other day after getting a Corona Chorus and I see I did it very similar to what you did. I tried to match the ranges on my Behringer UV300. Thanks for creating this. Very helpful.
can I get tremolo with the flashback?
Vibrato is so nice. Unfortunately true Vibe (Uni-Vibe) is a very different task to achieve, if possible at all...
Im borrowing one from a friend to see if I wanna buy it. I'm having problems with it not liking any heavy distortion. I can lay down a loop, but when I playback and try to play over it it seems to squeeze the loop to almost not hearable while playing. Is it just something Im doing wrong?
Can you replace a uni vibe with this pedal or is the fab flange better?
None of them are good replacement because the univibe is more like a phaser, but it isn't a phaser. What you have look for in an univibe is the photocell thing that the OG one had. Check the JHS Pedals video, the Univibe 101 video, it helps a lot to understand
Yeah, it's a great pedal, but it's digital (don't misunderstand me, it's a really good vibe sound pedal with an affordable price). But what I just wanted to explain why a vibe is so characteristic, and how it is technically different to other modulation Pedals.
Insta sub! Nobody else is doing anything half as cool on youtube. I really dig that you aren't just doing superficial clickbait stuff dude. Rock on! PS: My mrs could probably be best described as a slow flange with (more than) a little bit of reverb. My first toneprint was named "Maureen You Little Rippa!" in her honour.
What guitar is this? It sounds very much like my Eccleshall Scimitar Custom, which has a P90 & a Strat pickup.
I really like the effect you've created but is there a way to make it more pronounced?
I mean settings wise of course
so is this no good for street musicians? since it needs to be plugged in?
Pretty much
No bueno
Cool build. Was wondering if you can add a channel switching jack to auto switch channels on amp with same footswitch?
Corona... :-)
Hreat sounding pedal, but no bpm readout, no midi, no half or full note delay. You can can tap your way out of it or make specific tone prints I guess. This is unfortunate for me because I love the way the pedal sounds but it's too muc to worry about in my somewhat complicated setup.
Do delay 1,2,3 times add on top of the primary delay time?
I think they are separated delay lines Liken you put a Corona Chorus after the delay section, so it’s not the delay lines of the delay section which are being modulated but the short delay lines in the “Corona chorus” block. Whether you se it to Chorus, Vibrato or Flanger (true pitch vibrato units use a very short delay line to achieve the vibrato effects; so is in the boss VB-2 or Diamond Vibrato for instance; unless you use a pitchshifter algorithm as in some Eventide units/fx).
Do delay 1,2,3 add on top of the primary delay time?
Excellent clear review. Thanks!
