I got a Litespeed Watia two years ago for my bike camping adventures and opted for mechanical shifting for this reason. Maybe I’m just an old paranoid man but it was something that I just didn’t want to deal with! Great video my friend and beautiful bike too!!

4:01 I just changed my Trek 920 rotors to 180mm Sram Centerlines 2 days ago. I used to have Avid 160mm f/r. I remember when I toured across the U.S. one night when I was gonna stop to set up camp, it was 9:55 p.m. & was still light out. I found out that I was just a couple of miles west of the timezone line.

Looks beautiful. Is that a Litespeed Ultimate Gravel? I have one with Spinergy wheels too if it is. Mine uses a Garbaruk cassette and Rotor crank. Currently using a bar end friction shifter so when I change change wheels, there are no issues. I like mechanical groups for simplicity and dependability. Jealous though. I am in Chicago where there are few gravel options though do go to Southern California a few times a year. I enjoyed your video.

I have as of late convinced myself that I need (want) a dedicated off road bike that I could load down with gear. the bike I have settled on is the jones LWB out of Ashland OR. 200mm front brake etc etc. I am in no way affiliated with jones; just a prospective customer...
