The Living Seas was an attraction at Epcot (then known as EPCOT Center). It opened in 1986 and housed the largest saltwater tank in the world at its completion, holding 5.7 million US gallons (22,000,000 L) of water. The attraction took guests "under the ocean" to the fictional Sea Base Alpha, where they could learn about and interact with various multimedia displays and living sea creatures.
This video is an animated recreation of the pavilion's exterior façade and the music loop. The attraction was permanently closed on August 21, 2005.

I seriously wish this type of Attraction Ride came back, because I would have a good time being on this ride.
What an incredible ride!
It very much was. And after the ride in the next room, there was an entire interactive play place. Touch screens to color in the characters, add sound effects to animation clips, a giant step on piano where every key was sung by an animatronic bird, a life-size Flintstones house and car photo op... it was great! Oh my gosh I haven't heard of the final parts with the lap bars and getting out, it's in none of the footage that's been released since. So this is just, AWESOME to see. Thank you for this ridetrackx! :D

1:56 Damn, even though 2015 was 9 YEARS AGO in the past as of this comment, it STILL looked futuristic.
At Universal Hollywood in Spring 2025 they’re doing something called “Fan Fest Nights” described as HHN meets comic book/pop culture convention. They said they be stuff related to Dungeons and Dragons, Harry Potter, Star Trek and most in importantly Back to the Future. They just announced the Enterpise D bridge set from Picard. It probably won’t happen but a a sort of me hopes they bring back the BTTF ride film for these nights. I doubt it as they’d have to reprogram it for the ride to do Simpsons in the day and BTTF T night; but a guy can dream
@@DarMar106 Nice 👍. Universal Hollywood always seems to have a bit more 'unff' when it comes to their events. Just the Enterprise D bridge would be enough for me. And when it comes to BTTF, I'll dream with you.

If only they could build a lower level to bring back the original rides….would define universal as UNIVERSAL
If only. For corporate investors, it's too much of a risk without hard numbers to prove retired attractions would succeed. To the rest of us it's a no brainer. We'd all be there and ride them more than the new rides.
