Call backs are a big problem with Mammograms. That should not be the case! It is pure torture. No Woman should worry or actually have a large breast cancer tumor growing inside of her for years. You live your life and believe that you're doing the right thing getting a Mammogram, however that could be giving you a false sense of security year after year. In several cases Breast Cancer and the Dense tissues look the same on a Mammogram, their both white in color. The other thing is Lobular Breast Cancer does not form a lump. It is more like a spider web and is harder to find. That's a double whammy. Women who get Lobular and their Dr's can't normally feel that cancer either. That's why every Woman should be getting a Koning dedicated Breast CT instead, especially with Dense breast tissues. That's about half of all Women who have Dense Breast tissues. Small cancers are easier to treat successfully and the cost is a lot less too. Google Koning Health. Silence kills, speak up, the life you save could be your own or a loved one, or friend .

I did my ultrasound yesterday. After ultrasound I was told radiologist wanted to go over slides with me on the same day. They walked me into a little office. I waited a few minutes then he walked in and said “there is a mass and we need to biopsy it to find out what is going on. It may be fibroadinoma, it’s most likely benign” I felt really anxious but played it cool. I’m not telling anyone as I don’t want to worry anyone but I can’t seem to focus. I scheduled my biopsy for 8/23. Ugh i should have let them schedule it sooner.

I did a mammogram the day before I got a breast reduction and got a call back for further testing two weeks after my surgery, this past May. I couldn't do anything until my incisions healed so I had to continue to wait (I have another week before my appointment). Thankfully, the breast tissue that was removed from my reduction was fine so that's given me some breathing room while I wait.

I found a lump. I’ve just had my 80 th birthday. I felt totally relaxed about the whole thing. I didn’t stop chatting to the team, they were wonderful , we ended up laughing. I’m not in good health, I can’t walk since a Pots related fall, six years ago. I can’t walk, bend my knee and I have foot drop and I’m now in a wheelchair. I had the clips put in, I felt sore but thought nothing of it. I went for the results and was told that there was a lump in my left breast but it was only visible via a scan and it was OK. There was a shadow on my right breast and I’m going for all the tests doing again next Friday. I’m still very sore, and I have a very painful condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. I read that any medical intervention could cause it to spread to other limbs and internal organs. I feel as if it’s now spread all over my body and I’m in agony. I’m more worried about that than if they tell me that it’s malignant.

Just got the call to come back for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound due to the comparison of my latest 3D compared to one 1.5 years ago. They could not get me in for another 5.5 weeks! I called another medical facility and am getting in, in two weeks. So frustrating to have to wait! Don’t want to tell anyone except my husband. Krista, thank you so much for this! I wish I'd found your video months ago. I went through a long wait time on a biopsy in January, which was (thankfully) benign. Then, three weeks later, I get a callback on my mammogram. I waited 3+ weeks for the diagnostic mammogram plus ultrasound, and am now waiting some more for a biopsy. All in all, I've had just three weeks in the past 4 months where I wasn't waiting on a suspicious result for malignancy. I have so much empathy for anyone in this position. The stress and terror of the waiting almost shattered my sense of wellness. I would encourage everyone to do as Krista did and push for quicker appointments wherever possible.

I am so glad that I found this video. I am 40, and I had my first mammogram a week and a half ago. I found out today that they need me to come back in for more images, along with an ultrasound. I have horrible anxiety and I was thinking the worst. I cried a lot today. The nurse said that since it is my first one, they have nothing to compare it to. They want me to come in when the radiologist is there, which they did not know today, so I will wait until Monday to get an appointment scheduled, which is terrifying. I live in a rural area, which is probably why everything takes so long. This video has calmed me a bit. Thank you so much for sharing this <3

Hey Jessica, Its a true blessing to have this channel and Mrs. Smith be so kind to share her experience. I have been getting 2D mammograms since I was 25 and they have all been clear. Last year was my first 3D mammogram where they are able to see a lot more. I got my mammogram on January 23, 2023 and I got my call back on January 24, 2023. I was VERY AFRAID. They said that they saw something on my right breast that they wanted to take a closer look at. Anxiety is not the word for what I felt so, I just prayed and hoped for the best. I was able to schedule an appointment on January 30, 2023, and at the appointment they gave me another 3D mammogram and they also did an ultrasound. When it was all said and done, they found that the tissue in my breast were healthy and my breast are so dense that they wanted to take a closer look to insure that their was noting hiding behind my breast tissue. I did a lot of research on 3D mammograms and I learned that they detect things more efficient but, just because you get a call back does not mean it's cancer. They would like to have mammograms that they can constantly compare each one to every year. In fact, I just received a call from the mammogram i took last week and they called to tell me that my tissue is stable and looks the same as last year. I feel very confident that you will be just fine. I 'm truly sorry for the grammatical errors. I just wanted to share my experience with you and try to bring ease to your heart. GOD BLESS YOU.

I already decided I am just scheduling the diagnostic mammogram. My doctor wants me to do also an ultrasound, but that is not happening. They say there is a 0.5 cm mass on my left breast that was not there a year and a half ago. I don't feel a thing, I don't have any symptoms. I don't have high density on my breast, I don't have a family history of breast cancer. I don't believe in the doctors anymore.

Thank you for doing your story in hopes that anyone that watches this who receives a call to do a second mammogram, makes them feel at ease and comfort. I haven’t had a mammogram since age 40 and had my second one last week Wednesday and I am now age 49. my OBGYN always has stated the importance of getting a yearly mammogram, and I did not listen to her year after year until she was adamant that I do get one this year. She did refer me to a clinic to go get my mammogram, and I received it last Wednesday. upon departure after having my mammogram, the technician advise that if all went well, I’ll have or I will receive a letter in the mail, which is good news or if they found some abnormalities on the mammogram I’ll get a call. I thought nothing of it because at age 40 I received the letter in the mail that says everything was OK so I said to myself this one will be OK too. My thought process cancel does not run in the family. My OBGYN do yearly breast check ups so I’m good. Well, to say this, the next day I received a call from a number that looked real familiar, but I didn’t pick up. I said, let me let it go into voicemail. After the voicemail was complete, I checked my voicemail, and I knew it was from the clinic. The nurse stated that I need to call him back because they saw some abnormalities on my right breast and I called her right back. All she said was they don’t have the equipment at that clinic to do further imaging of my right breast so they had to schedule me at a local hospital that can accommodate for the imaging. I set up the appointment for this upcoming Friday. My first thought was it’s nothing they just couldn’t read on the first mammogram so they have to do for the imaging. I’m fine and I still feel that way because there’s no history in my family with cancer or breast cancer no lumps nothing. But you know human being human. We have so many things wanted to while mom and I became fearful, overwhelmed, scared or negative things nothing positive and I’m a positive person. Seriously I am but that word cancer is a negative thing so now, when I go in Friday, they have to do another mammogram and a 3D tomosynthesis imaging . i’ll be getting the results right after so I’ll know exactly what’s going on. The nurse at the OBGYN office called me the same day. The clinic called me and she was like I’m just calling you because of the abnormal imaging at the clinic and we need to set you up with an appointment. I advised to her that I had already set it up with the clinic. However, nothing else came from that call or from the nurse at the clinic they was not able to tell me what was going on or maybe I should’ve asked but I didn’t because my nerves were shot so Friday this week is the imaging test, and as I have talked to a few people who I know had to call back, they just told me it was nothing to worry about. It could just be dense breast fatty tissue cyst, not cancerous , I took it OK I’m fine but again in the back of my head we always can think the worse about that. I’ll say to myself, even though their second results was negative. Mind is going to be positive, but I will keep you posted on what the results was and I need to stay off of WebMD and stop googling because I am experiencing some symptoms of beginning stages of breast cancer. So I’ll just move on this week continue to do and be positive as I am and just know that God got me he is not gonna give me more than I can bare. If you have dense breasts don’t waste your time with mammograms. Go for MRI once/twice a year

Yes dense breasts are a challenge. I hear ultrasound can be good to have in the toolbox too.

I was told right after my mammo that something didn't look right. Booked a biopsy right then and there. Unfortunately it was cancer.

This was helpful for me. I had yearly mammogram last week and got a call back for the first time in my life. I’m 64 and it is very scary. The earliest I could get in for recheck was a week later. I will be going in for that this week. Hoping and praying it will be ok.

My call back wasn’t good unfortunately. Long story short my stage 0 DCIS was treated with a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction and a clear diagnosis a month later. The days spent waiting for each appointment was the hardest time. When I was in motion and in the process I could mentally rally. I’m a very impatient person and so when I hear stories about women waiting on the next steps in their recovery, I just can’t imagine how terrible that would feel.

Im 34, my doctor for some reason asked about getting a mammogram. I did it, and now im waiting for the call to schedule an ultrasound and additional immages as they found asymmetries in the medial breast, middle and posterior depth, on CC view. Im such an over thinker as it is and tbis has my anxiety through the roof. Its October on top of that so breast cancer awareness stuff just seems to be everywhere. Trying to reassure myself that it will be okay but its very hard. Thank you for your video.

@@JayBandz-bt3uueverything was clear! they did the additional imaging, which I opted for originally and even said I would pay out of pocket for and then said wasn't eligible for. I waited not even 10 minutes for the radiologist to read them and give me the clear. It was a very traumatic and frustrating experience that if they would have done the imaging prior I wouldn't have to of gone through 😔

@@JayBandz-bt3uu it's so hard waiting, totally understand!! The gal told me that especially if you've never had a mammogram before you have a much higher chance of getting a callback because they don't have anything to compare it to. Now with mine they will have something for next time. Keep your head up and let us know how it goes. ❤️

Thank you! I'm 44, and my last mammogram was 3 years ago. I have a new family doc, so he scheduled me for a mammogram screening at the same diagnostic center that did it in 2020. My appointment was yesterday at 10:30am which was a 3D mammogram, and I received a call back 4 hours later. Unfortunately, my docs office was already closed, and he won't be back in office until Tuesday. They said he hasn't viewed the report yet, but that he will need to schedule true lateral spot MLO, spot compression CC tomography, and ultrasound of right breast as soon as possible. They found 2 changes from my prior mammogram 3 yrs earlier: assymetric density & architectural distortion of upper-outer quadrant. Im not really sure what all that means, but this video gave me more peace of mind than my Google search did haha! No calcifications were noted, so hopefully that's a good sign. Idk. Trying not to worry, but finding out before my doctor - and before a 4 day holiday weekend - makes it a little more difficult to do. So glad all went well with yours!! ❤

Your story is beautiful and amazing and it is also the exact same story I share right down to the family helping, and those being the ones I chose to share with. There is no one I’m any closer to than my sisters and sons. My story is almost identical to your story, except for the fact that I did not have to have a sonogram, only a mammogram, which showed Everything was fine, everyone needs to be getting these mammograms. I’m not sure if women know that one in eight women will have breast cancer that is a very high number that right there is enough to make a person want to eat cleaner, exercise and live better. I am much older than you I’m 62 years old I loved your story and your story is mine❤ Thanks to my husband sons and sisters ❤️ Thanks to Solis team

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in my left breast in 2020, after chemo mastectomy and my yearly mammogram I got a call back and I now have to wait 3 weeks for a new mammogram. I would hate to think I need to do this chemo and surgery again, but I have a great doctor.
