Adina and Solomon are at a club for his teammate's birthday party, and she invited Noni, and her twin Minnie, to come too. Minnie has never liked Adina, since they were all little kids. Adina just tries to stay cordial.

Adina and Solomon sneak away to a private bathroom, and take advantage of their privacy... but the next day Sol is called into his team owner/father-in-law's office. There is a video of them together in the club bathroom making the internet rounds. Uh oh.

His father-in-law suspects Adina of setting the whole thing up and while Solomon knows that's not true, he also can't help but feel he needs to pull back from her. He's brought her nothing but trouble, and now they're threatening to bench him at work, and he can't have that.

Solomon ghosts her after the video, but he sends the security guard, Graham, back to protect her. Gee, thanks.😑 2 days later she has to go back to work, and it's a hot mess. The guy harassing her at work is lying in wait for her to arrive and pounces, running his mouth and Adina is finally DONE. She eviscerates him with her words and walks away, but she knows it's not over yet.

She wakes up in the hospital with smoke inhalation, after the harassing firefighter leaves her ALONE in a burning building and she gets stuck. Her family is there with her and then Solomon bursts in, and he is IN A STATE. He knew her job was too dangerous and he can't deal, and then his in-laws call him saying Khalil is freaking out about Adina getting hurt. She tells him to not worry, she's fine. He can leave and not come back. "You're not free. You never have been. I'm done."

It's been 2 weeks and he's playing, and sleeping, poorly. He finally unloads on his friend and teammate, Ken, on the team plane home after a game. They have a bonding moment and Ken helps Sol realize that he's been doing all the wrong things, and why.

The first thing he has to do is set some serious boundaries with his in-laws, which he does that night when he goes to pick up his son.

Adina spent the 2 weeks recovering, and this morning she's going into a meeting to report her co-worker for the harassment and leaving her in the fire alone. Her family is fully there for her.

She goes outside after, to find Khalil and her brother in the garage, and then she sees Solomon. He tells her he's already apologized to her family, and now he needs to tell her how sorry he is. He should have never put his fears over her safety and well-being. But he's decided to be brave, because loving her is worth the risk. They admit their love for each other, and it's very sweet and swoony. THE END.
