Well done, better to catch one than none! I fish the bigger Lake there in the summer, lots of small fish and then a decent cat at the end of the day. There is a video of it on my channel if you're interested 👍
@@sambailey-z9x this is hawkhurst in kent on the quarry lake. Great for a day session. During the summer I had 10 carp ranging from 8lb to 13lb and some catfish out of the lake. Carp go to 26lb and catfish to 40lb. Beware I have had my 18lb line break twice due to some seriously big cats. Highly recommend it the lake.
@sambailey-z9x definitely mate. A few tips for the lake. Red robin pellets pre drilled 12mm sold at the on site tackle shop are excellent in the summer. But I've found sweetcorn and 6 maggots on the hook work well in the winter. I always use bollies on 1 rod. And fish either the swim closest to the road that runs between the main lake and quarry lake or fish the swim that's next to the bailiffs hut on the opposite side. It's a great lake for people getting into carp fishing as a step up to the big lakes.

Tricklebrook any good this time of year
@@sambailey-z9x it's not to bad. Carp are slow like most lakes in the winter but you can still grab a few.

It's one of my favourite lakes to fish all year round. I have only ever blanked there once when they started to spawn.
