I once got off at Berney Arms on a Sunday morning, when the trains are marginally more frequent than in the week; I made my request to the guard when boarding at Norwich, he looked at me as if I had two heads...😊!!

West Ealing was only made the terminus after the electrification of the main line and adjustments/removal of clutter for the Elizabeth Line took place. Previously, Greenford trains ran through to Paddington (providing the only services calling at Acton Main Line, what an improvement now at that station!!) and in the mid-80's, terminating at Ealing Broadway, but dovetailing in and out of Paddington services. I wonder how the batrery operated 230's will fare??!! West Ealing once used to have staggered platforms, one of them was relocated opposite a few years ago, this was before the addition of Platform 3 for the Greenford branch.

There are quite a lot of stations thst still have traces of first great Western branding, and it's mostly these slightly forgotten lines and stations, but even Oxford still has some FGW signs

There are no direct buses that serve Reading Green Park Station and as to date Reading Buses have no plans to provide any routes to serve the Station and the wider south reading area. The council had hoped the new station would ease traffic in south reading but not without any direct bus routes. The nearest bus stop is atleast a 5 minute walk away. Most people live in South reading live anything from a 30 minute to 1 hour walk each way to the new station. They will not likely do that they will just continue to drive into reading or get on one of the other 5 bus routes that serve south reading and go into town that way and use the main Reading Station. Green park station is highly likely to be very under used because of no direct bus services.

South Western Railway operate zero services to/ from Windsor & Eton Central. Windsor & Eton Central is a GWR station. SWR use nearby Riverside station to serve both Windsor & Eton

I have a 30 year old footage I did on this railway station, also on Winchelsea rail station, back in 1993 - I keep meaning to upload it so you can all see - I need to transfer from VHSC format to SD card so that I can upload which I hope to do one day...the footage only last about 7mins.
