5 RULES I follow to get the BEST shot... GIBRALTAR FALLS | CANBERRA
Do you mind to share which month this was?
I tried it a couple days ago, but stopped half way up the steps, so didnt make it even to Sealy Tarns. Was stopping for a breather every 15-20 steps (mean they are). Could have managed that but was worried about balance on those steep climbs, and knees (age 73). So headed down ... gingerly. LUCKY I did retreat, because I realised the sole of one of my old boots was half off, and the other coming away. Tied it in place with the laces (should always carry small roll of duct tape) and continued on. If I had continued and the sole fully parted...would have been a very awkard return. Heading to the Kepler track in couple days .. weather looks perfect. (Will stop to buy new boots). Thnking again, would have been very awkard if I was wearing the old boots and the soles decided to come off some way along the Kepler. (Will carry some duct tape as well).
You did awesome but don't worry the sandflies don't like anybody mate lol
You would be spoiled for choice on compositions there. Pity about the insects. Lovely images
Looks like a beautiful country. What season do you think would be best to visit South Island/NZ?
I ❤ NZ
It’s amazing hey
Love your work… I’m heading to NZ next year can’t wait…. Love to see how you edit your pics…
I hope you enjoy it. It’s truly a magical place. Thank you for your kind words. Maybe one day I’ll make a video on my editing workflow.
Been there.
What did you think of the place?
@@vladphotos I really enjoyed it. The nature there is fantastic. I'll be posting my video about the track in the near future.
VERY GOOD
Thank you! Cheers!
What’s ur fav walking/hiking trail in NZ?
Hands down Mueller hut hike, my friend.
Wow. would love to visit New Zealand one day. Very beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
You must! It is unreal
Such a beautiful place and no people around 😮
BRAVO
I love this little spot
The iconic rock shot beautifully
Still great shots
A place one can visit man times. Great photo also
A problem faced more often then not.
such an iconic track. a must take for the family!
Looks absolutely tough but beautiful!
So beautiful!
Such a pleasant spot!
Mueller Hut track is a lil bit easier than Brewster Hut Track ~ Brewster Glacier
What are the views like in comparison?
@@vladphotos mueller is far spectacular
Just a small detail, our family holidayed here for years. We used to swim where the tree is as it was shallow and warmed up quite a bit in the summer. Back then that tree used to be a fence post and still had wire on it. Over time it took root and became what it is today. Ruby Island in the back ground used to have a dance hall on it, but burnt down.
That is so interesting. Thanks heaps for taking the time to share
Very cool spot!
Nice adventure Mr Vlad.
Thanks Joshua. Glad you enjoyed it
At 5:59,it looked like you were having a conversation with the mountains.
😂 mate, it was hard to gather my thoughts with such beauty surrounding me. I had no idea what I was talking about until I watched the video
You only have to worry about the sandflies, little buggers they are.
There were none there. Wait until you see my Milford sound video - the flies destroyed me.
You were in Gods own mate.
It can happen on a rare occasion
Mate,if I could take photos that epic, I would be a happy man, nice weather too,it can get quite wet in that area.
Really kind of you to say, Andy
It was tough ....but it was worth it 😉 Fabulous images.
The tougher it is, the more rewarding it is. Glad I didn’t quit. Appreciate you stopping by 😀
What a framing and editing bud, this upload is pure perfection if you ask me! Masterpiece!!!
Oh man, that means a lot! Especially after the effort endured 😂
Brilliant Vlad! But the walk was too easy... if you were with me we would've been in the wrong valley & have had to climb over Aoraki to get to the lake! Much better imo 🙃
Tbh I don’t think we’d ever get to the lake with you 😂😂😂
Bit worries about you crossing the creek, flowing pretty fast. Great photos
I also can’t swim. That was probably the deepest point so I was alright.
Great images. It is an awesome location. You are a lot younger and more adventurous than Iam, but I would still like to shoot this location as you did. Great video.
As you said it isn’t about the destination it is also about the journey. Started subscribing to your channel
I think its important for us photographers to enjoy the process of getting the image. At the end, the image will hold a greater value. Thank you for subscribing, I hope you enjoy watching :)
Great video thanks for the tips
Thank you David! I appreciate you stopping by 😀
Very good
I truly liked the final photo you put up - it seemed to show the majesty of the falls very well. Jake was clearly not ...a natural outdoors person.😉 I am very grateful for you putting this up because I have been to the falls on a couple of occasions and longed to shoot from the base of them. Now I know it's possible. Sadly, the falls were shut earlier this year (including the entire lower car park, I believe) following two deaths in about a week: people took the advice of the authorities and chose to bathe in the natural pool at the very top edge of the falls, and unfortunately fell to their deaths. There has been talk of the falls never being reopened, but I hope this is not the case and that common-sense prevails, and that the falls are not surrounded by ugly fencing forever. Loving the resource your clips are providing, as I'm new to the region since around August of last year and new locations are always welcome.
I agree with your sentiments in relation to the situation surrounding this waterfall. When I started this UA-cam channel, it wasn’t so I can be rich and famous. It was purely to connect with other like-minded people and share my individual story on the process of getting to a place and taking a photo. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch the video and comment. Your support means a great deal.
Wonderful drone shots of HHR, Ivan. And you're right: HHR looks more like a complete horse from the sea. I'm currently making plans to get down that way in a couple of months or so, so am checking out as many videos as I can find on HHR/CR. It seems that part of the coast is rich with excellent locations, so if I get there and it's crowded, lots of alternatives.
You’re right, there is plenty of locations and a lot of them are not crowded with people. Especially during the week
Једном ће стварно медвед да те поједе😅

Nice shots Vlad - Enjoyed the footage of this great place.
