The void ring next to the boss doesn't have the master skill nor enhancement bonus to reflexct dmg And mine had 2 useless random skills: - Arte Attack +5 - Non el dmg reduced by 4% tbh i just used simple mode, its not that bad to get reflect gear, but looking at this video alone gives me anxiety on how to manage it

Most people are doing it wrong, and simply change to difficulty to Simple is also plain wrong. You just need to look for items that have big Reflect nullified damage for Velvet and use her instead, and also set other characters to do nothing. Velvet is the easiest character for this since her Break Soul doesn't require anything and have a longer animation, also she doesn't get the damage reflect from the monster unlike Rokurou. Once the Spectral Crystal move its first attack, use Velvet's Break Soul. If it fails, gain souls by dodging or switch characters and do it again.

This is hands down one of the most frustrating bosses to fight, due to the whole reflect gimmick. Had to switch to simple mode during my first playthrough to beat him, then beat him on chaos mode through sheer luck with Rokurou's break soul.

Here I was hoping I'd gone down the wrong path and could have saved her, oh well.

Any chance of some explanation? I have no idea what is happening here. I get that you're supposed to use rokurou's soul break to reflect the damage back but what I don't understand is how. I hit his soul break right as the void cannon hits and it does no damage. What am I missing?

...Yeah, I think just going to simple difficulty and mowing him down is a FAR less insane inducing method to continue the game. If you have to resort to gimmick tricks to defeat a gimmick boss rather than skill or ability, then the fight just isn't worth the therapy. Just kill him in the easiest way possible and go back to enjoying the game normally.

I lost in the tower I didn’t see the entrance and I can’t see anything . I play it in PS5 and its really bad and I have a lot of smoke that cover everything. Quality make the game very slow and the other make it blind . I think I will try it on my ps4 pro

Is it just a matter of holding the RT in front of him when he sends the spell? Or do you have to press any other button after that? Cause do I keep doing this "vengeful punishment" but he just goes through the magic.

So do I just have to use his break soul attack until it gives in or what?

Worst boss of the game so far. I hate gimmick enemies in RPGs. I used the void ring and break soul with Roukurou. Took me some 30 Break Souls and many restarts since I’d run out of Soul Bottles.

Do you have void ring equipped on Rokurou? Do you NEED void ring equipped on Rokurou? Did his break soul ~100 times with and without void ring with no damage. I’ve become a god at timing dodges and Rokurou break souls but after an hour+, nothing is happening. I think my game bugged. But one time Eleanor randomly used her mystic Arte “spiral hail” so that was weird/random af

I used velvet when i looked at my inventory and found Fonon blade : reflect 13% random skill Mythril garment : reflect 10% random skil Poison ward : reflect 7% random skill Beat him in 20 seconds lucky me !!

Way, way too fast for it be of any use. Absolutely retarded idea to fast forward the walking at such a speed. No help at all.

This is a waste of time. I'd rather switch it to simple mode. This kind of boss wasted my effort in leveling. I've done all the Red Hunt bosses in intense mode and it was my first playthrough. This is the only boss that I don't bother to cheat.

i defeat this monster using hourglass. When the monster freeze there was a time eleanor suddenly using mystic arte then I chain the mystic arte until its dead :D

I knew it had something to do with reflecting its attack back at it but tbh...i never knew rokurous ability was deflecting attacks back to the sender cuz i was only playing with velvet throughout my whole playthrough Thanks for the help though kind sir!
