It’s according to what bait you’re throwing
Its funny how this is a hack in us and in europe standard
Make no diff to the fish if there around they’ll take it swivel or no swivel
1. Senko 2. spinnerbait 3. Frog
always done it this way, works for me!
demieki rig ribbon worm and spinnerbait
My grandpa taught me how to tie that too
It still amazes me that these things actually work
I feel like I'm one of the few fisherman who would do these rigs but they're too expensive to do at the cost of probably loosing the three weights on fish and be out of five bucks. Like ik it's probably not gonna rip out every time but I just can't bring myself to buy it for so few weights that I usually will get based on what's available to me brands wise. Looks cool, but I'd need to go with real nails I can grab at the dollar store for a good amount
I always thought they were for people who were lazy or struggled with knots.
Good for worm ,and bobber ..rubber worm ...lures tie them with loop not ..let the lures swim naturally .unless ur fishing in a barrel
Not a Neck O rig, it's a "Knee" Ko rig 😂
I don’t know, I use them sometimes but I’ve started taking a lot of the swivels off to go for cats.
Fish are dumb, fish however you want
They have broken many times
So no weight except the nail weight ? What kind of fish have you caught on that setup? I’m kinda new to fishing and just Ben using sardines but it makes my hands stink lol I wanna try this setup
Best tool
I always use a swivel cause im lazy😂 but hey still catching fish and its faster
I’ve hooked into big fish with snap swivels and if it breaks off it’s always the swivel that breaks. I’d rather take the time to tie on different baits than lose the fish of a life time
These are great on a drop shot!
The biggest problem with swivels is that they aren't compatible with the types of lures kids would start with. The idea is fishing with the kids and you tie on a swivel for them so they can try different things, but it's no good with rooster tail type spinners and wacky worm hooks.
snaps with no swivels are the best option!
Where do you get the hitchhiker?
Some bigger bait shops have them but it’s probably a safer bet to get them off Amazon.
Use mono line
Chatter Rooster tail Spinner Definitely depends of where you are, temp and climate. Yada yada ya.
1. Senko 2. Pop-r 3. Fluke
use a light wire snap with NO swivel
my opinion is that I fish for musky and have no other choice xD
a beetle spin is good if you want to catch panfish, for bass you will get mostly 1-1.5lb dinks
If anything wouldn’t it make it better cuz it’s shiny
Ned and Texas
I catch everything on snap swivels
Poo poo ..if yure having trouble with craink baits you simply suck
To solve this problem rn I use swivels on everything bc I can change stuff fast and I don’t waste so much line after a month of fishing and buddy re ties and cuts and his kayak looks like a mess and I catch way more fish than him you can get a damn railing piece of wood from Home Depot cut it to 4 inches and throw hooks on it and use it as top water and catch bass they don’t care 😂😂😂😂
As someone who is constantly being outsmarted by fish I don't see how that would scare a fish off.
I don't like them they break and bend out to easy
1 mosquito hook no o ring green pumpkin Yamamoto worm
I feel like if your using a crank bait or a top water for like bass or something then it's fine your not gonna find no 40lb bass that can break/bend that swivel i can almost promise you, but i feel like if your going catfishing on the other hand you'll probably loose a lot of fish and hooks that way 😂
Ditch the swivel and just use a snap - Problem solved
2 hooks on each end
Brilliant! What would we call this fish catching machine?😂
If the bass bites it then it's fine.
Just tie it on don't be lazy. Takes 10 seconds to tie a knot
Watched my cousin first hand catch over ten bass with a small snap swivel attached to a Senko Texas rig in the same spot for 2 hours on a lake up here in the Midwest. I tried it myself a different day and I haven’t changed the setup since
Depends
Im guessing the improved is the second pass through of the tag end through the loop. Haven't tried that but the regular quench is garbage for braided line. I just use a polymar.
Been using them for over 38 years and never ever changed for something else. And OOH YES you can catch a lot of fish with it 🎣
I’ve lost so many fish on those things I don’t use them any more
In Europa we also have metal part between those parts so when it bites it doesn't snap
Texas rig. I fish from the bank and the area im in it needs to be weedless.
It's all good till you get it straightened out.
