Technically yes- :'D The event is just something that was imagined up as an end game scenario if Trinket turned to the literal dark side & became one with his shadow- Something in game that DID happen was his shadow becoming not only sentient but also a difficult silly lil guy that could interact with the world & creatures around it (they broke stuff but could extend Trinket's reach in combat!) :)
