I think non- SEC/ACC leagues will still get poached based on just wanting to play in better leagues.
No doubt that Vols and A&M were easily the most two complete teams. A&M has a shot to repeat as most their roster comes back. Texas and Schloss have a rebuild ahead of them...gonna be quick but doubtful they are very competitive next year in SEC. Any YES it was absolutely spiteful. CDC is known for this. A&M countered and came out ahead. Glad Texas is happy w Schloss as A&M is happy they paid us for the trash. Earley is our man.
Tennessee is going to be good. Funny how you're talking about Schloss, when you would be completely opposite if he stayed.
@@MWakefield82He didn't say Schloss was a bad coach he said that program was in need of a rebuild. Of course if Schloss stayed Aggies would be happy and there's not anyone who is saying otherwise. Not sure what gotcha you think you've got here
@@MWakefield82 Jim is a solid program builder, and he will probably see a shitload of success at Texas. Fuck yeah Aggies wouldn’t have a problem if he stayed. The fallacy in your argument is that it doesn’t matter if he’d stayed - he didn’t; and it’s not only the manner in which he left, but also where he went, that will have the college sports industry will use as an example of “what not to do” for decades..
Go Gators
Great podcast gents. Well done. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Earley will be back in Omaha with the Aggies next season
Man I've been loving your content . Absolutely fantastic video! Just started watching during the regionals.
If the last football and baseball coaching search didn't humble the Aggies then nothing ever will
I thought Jace Laviolette was talking to Coach Vitello and Tennessee?
He has announced that he is back at A&M.
@@clintjohnson9994Jace also confirmed he didn’t take anyone’s phone calls. Was too busy working behind the scenes to keep this unit together. Kids got real leadership skills
Excellent coverage this year guys. Gotta mention Tenn completely rebuilt their pitching staff minus Beam , including losing HANDS DOWN the best pitcher in the country to Wake & their Friday night starter after first game of season.
I love yall and loved the discussion but I’ve followed college football for a long time and can NEVER remember anything like what schloss did. No college football coach would leave for a rival like that the day after a championship as it complete destroys all credibility you have with the fans and your players. Hell even kiffen went to a school across the nation. This might be the new age of the sport but I really do believe schloss was forging new ground here.
Attempted (albeit demented) power play to establish a pecking order in their new conference
Or why did Greg McElroy have a meltdown and have to apolize about it the next day…. Good lord!!!!
Thank you for being bold, brave and honest in your discussion and I for one cannot wait for the journalist who digs really deep and exposes this timeline for what it was...an NCAA mountain of violations....
Collusion investigation is underway i would believe.
Go damn vols
This dude needs his own show! His interview at the parade was hilarious.
It doesn't happen without this big man.
congrats !!!!! GBO
Christian Moore is a great player and, I'm so happy for him, Coach Tony V, and, the rest of this team! GBO!!!🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🏆⚾️ 2024 MCWS & National Champions!
Agree with most everything but they 100 percent did pitch around Moore
Tennessee literally left 40 players on base
35 of them were from Cortez walks
Nobody talk about Tennessee losing AJ Russell.
Can you imagine if this TN team had AJ Russell and Chase Burns?
Beam and combs pitched their asses off, yall just talked how good A Ms pitchers are
I think baseball gets the least complaints for title scheduling, but football and basketball would be better on a Saturday
Zander Sechrist has given up 4 total runs over his last 5 starts...about 30 innings.
Ags gonna tattoo him tonight
@@franquil85conn good luck
@@SalazarFrailey guess we will see in a few hours
@@franquil85conn We'll see. I'm betting on Zander. There's no doubt A&M is a really good team with some great arms, tho. Either team can win it.
@@drewc771 I agree, it should be a good game hopefully
Still no mention of TN missing All American pitcher AJ Russell.
Did I miss the picks?
I missed them too. They definitely didn't predict the game.
TENN offense gonna explode in Game 3 and win 10-2!!😂
I doubt it, A&M still has some elite arms
Trueish. Lampkin has been good but this will be his 3rd strait on short rest. Evan is a beast but cant go forever if he has to get in early@Saph_Adams
@@mcloviinz just watch, I think A&M wins tonight
@@Saph_Adamsdefinitely a possibility, they’ve given us fits at times on the mound this series. It does feel like a lot of our big guys are due to wake up but that’s never a given.
@@jamesbradford7888 great pitching beats great hitting, if A&M didn’t lose their day 2 starting pitcher to injury this series would’ve ended yesterday
GBO 🍊🍊🍊
Boy I bet you guys are excited today. Despite the loss, you still managed to slob on Tennessee’s knob this morning.
Thanks for doing this podcast - I've really enjoyed it all season.
A&M should pay him well to keep him !!
What an awesome coach and person. Definitely should win Asst. Coach of the year. The difference he’s made at A&M is immeasurable. Gig ‘Em!!! 👍
He is the best Aggie coach we've ever had.
I mean, we all see what he did with the mariners staff. It’s been awesome watching what he’s done to this group of young men.
First off, much respect for you guys for covering College Baseball. Have always appreciated your coverage. All of you do a GREAT job. Here we go....However, College Baseball is in HUGE trouble long term and this is actually going to show up in the short term quicker than most realize. The sport of college baseball has become the definition of a Regional sport and is going to collapse interest wise Nationally. I think that decline in interest is likely happening already even though it may not seem like it right now. Personally, I've been to Omaha for the CWS opening round games (all 4 games) twice. 2007 and 2008. Been to 10 Regionals since 2000 ranging from Austin to Baton Rouge to Minneapolis to San Diego (when USD hosted at San Diego State's stadium). Been to the following stadiums through the years for baseball: Baylor, Bowling Green, Central Florida, Dallas Baptist, Indiana, Kentucky, Lindenwood, Louisville, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Notre Dame, Pepperdine, Portland, Purdue, Sacramento State, San Diego, San Diego State, St. Louis, TCU, Texas, Texas-Arlington, UC-Irvine, UC-Santa Barbara, and Washington. Best friend went to a WAC school and has accompanied me on many of these Stadium and Regional trips. We used to talk about the sport frequently and get excited about it every time the season came around. Have another group of friends that have gone to Regionals with me. Guess what, ALL OF US have checked out on the sport. This year was the year our interest fully collapsed. We texted back and forth on the opening weekend and that was it, literally!!! Not another text about college baseball since February. I personally did watch some of the Regional games. Then only a handful of innings, 5 or 6 total (Virgina/Kansas State, North Carolina/West Virginia, Oregon/Texas A & M, and Evansville/Tennessee), of the Super Regionals because you could see what was coming. Finally, not 1 minute of any of the CWS games. ZERO. I have NO interest in supporting a sport that is getting incredibly MONOPOLIZED. Nothing against the truly GREAT schools and incredible players and fans in the SEC (and ACC). It just goes against everything I appreciate about competition. THAT THERE ACTUALLY IS SOME! This isn't it anymore. This is a monopolized sport that is only going to get WAY, WAY worse. I would not be surprised at all if the CWS field in the coming years is made up of 8 SEC teams. Maybe next year. That isn't going to fly in Omaha, nationally, and with me. Count me out. Sorry for the rant but this has been my favorite college sport for the past 25 years and now it is pretty much over for me and my friends. What a bummer. Hopefully some semblance of competitive balance returns but I don't see that happening. Too much $$$ to be made at the expense of literally the entire rest of the country and their programs.
Sorrell will use this as his coming out party and climb bigtime in the coming draft
if tennesse wins Moore Burke and Tears will share the MVP awards
if good pitching stops great hitting tex am will be the ws champions with Lampkin the MVP
Greatest college baseball player ever.
GBO 🍊
Thanks for the whole 2:30 seconds on the aggies. But i can tell by the way you fawn all over the Vols, who your picks are for the finals.
Funny I thought they hadn't been talking about TN enough (until this video). I guess we all perceive things differently as fans. GL to your Aggies. GBO 🍊🍊🍊
And that is an issue why?
Way to go Aggies!
Good

**Quick Note** Frank Anderson… has to at least get a shout for coaching job of season. Tennessee loses their TWO best arms. To lose the best pitcher in the country in Chase Burns prior to Fall Ball (Wake), then lose AJ Russell to injury after the first game of season, his ace post Burns exit… quietly amazing job what Frank has done w/ that Tenn pitching staff this season.
No shade, but a legitimate question. Why did Chase Burns transfer to Wakey? Didn’t make sense to me.
15:00 FSU hit the piss out of the ball; 10 balls with exit velo >100mph that were turned into outs. You can say the game didn’t feel close, but most games at least 6 of those would’ve been hits. FSU also had two base running blunders that directly cost them 2 runs in the bottom of the third. UT also only issued one BB vs 9 in the first game. Can’t make those kinds of mistakes against the #1 team. Still an unexpectedly great season for the ‘Noles after the debacle last year.
GO NOLES!!!!!!!! 🎉🎉❤❤❤
