1 simple trick to breed your cories (orange Venezuelan)

Using a powerhead can increase chances of breeding your cories. In nature cories responde to storms, cooler water changes and when it rains, which raises the water level and increases flow. Cories come from rivers which have increased water flow as well. Some other tips to breed cories is to feed heavley a few days before. Eggs everywhere!!!! I'm heading out for vacation to Disney and found 4 new batches of eggs from New and existing pairs. Very excited for when I come back. The Anglefish are called blue koi paraiba angelfish. Excited to breed them.

Sometimes I've noticed my cories font like breeding in a community tank because I believe they don't feel comfortable to lay eggs. So I've had these albinos for a few years now and I decided to take them out and put them in a 5 gallon tank. Fed them black worms and did water changes over a few days and boom they had about 50 eggs.

Those Ziss breeder boxes work well, but I recommend you try the BL-2. The BL-2 doesn't have the bottom screen so you can do a water change on the main tank without removing the breeder box. It leaves about an inch of water in the bottom so you can complete your water change and your fry will be fine.
@@NYGOLD i was wondering that. Because the bbs don't last long in they because the fall right through. The fluval boxes are good because I can leave bbs in all day while I'm at work. I deff will have to check that out. Thanks

Don’t feed first bite unless you intend to change the water often. I’ll never use first bite ever again..
@@ThingstodoinHawaii i agree, I don't use it as much i use eggs yolk now and it works wonders. Now I have over 50 black rams

@@clintonbrigham9667 from me lol. Cant ship now with this cold weather. But if not from me. Look up dark night rams there's so many different variations. Just gotta find the ones your want.
@ trust me I did for hours and everyone’s looked like blue blacks instead of solid black. The front pic would be a nice solid black ram but the pics of the selling stock looked sub par
@clintonbrigham9667 they go by dark night rams. Midnight rams etc. Some people might sell blue black as black rams. I know a few people that sell them as well. But just clarify you want the pure black rams. Mine won't be ready for a few months

Great idea. Just ordered the power head. My Corydoras weitzmani spawned in a tank with light flow from bio-wheel power filter. I want to see if a stronger flow increases the spawning rate.

I find breeding and hatching to be the easy part. It’s shell quality and die off that are more work imo.
@@docm8427 shell quality, in my opinion comes down to substrate. And diet.

@@derrickw1313 blood worms and black worms work for me. I feed for 3 days and do a water change then they normally always breed. Tubi fix too. But black worms are the best because they are alive
How do I gender them?
@@maoufreed1684 look at your cories from the top. Males will be longer and slender. Females with be fatter and wider. Females are normally a little bigger. That's how I do it

@@ColossalSwordFormAndTechnique ya they could've given you a dead snails. Their snails are not good. Go back and return it. They should be coming out of the shell by now
May I have some? I bought 3 from petsmart. They seemed alive. But they still have’t moved day 2. I offered them a chicken egg shell today 🤷
@@ColossalSwordFormAndTechnique put string beans in there and keep the temp around 80f if they don't move. They could be dead.

@JinjuChoi-d9f they're so easy-to-use to breed. Get a pair and some caves, and that's it's. There's plenty of videos on how to breed them. But they are some of the easiest fish to bred

I am loosing my wigglers as soon as they hatch for just few hours.. i was thinking im not putting enough Mblue, this time i poured more not according to drops but according to the colour.. in both the cases i lost them. Please let me know of any suggestion u hav or u think might be wrong. I tried parts tank water, RO water mixed with tank water and the aged tap water.. at the temp from 28 - 30 C. My fishes hav spawned 4 times but no success.. by the way the fishes are not suthentic breeders, i bout two and they started spwaning.. can there be birth defects in the eggs????
@NutritionFacts101 try hydrogen peroxide. I never liked mtblue or always had bad effects on my fry. I have a new video using a fry box inside the tank . So the fish can see the eggs spawn, and they're getting content water flow. It's a very tricky process to get then to live after that. Keep a log of what your using and how much also. It could also be water quality

@@NutritionFacts101 angels are very easy to hatch. Just clean water and brineshrimp. As long as the pair keeps laying eggs. Keep a log of what you're doing and tweak it as you go
I just put plant substrate in with my snails. I hope they'll be okay.

@@sunshinepet No, I am using natural colors. Browns, tans, and similar natural colors. It clouded my water but I knew it would. Hopefully it clears in a few days.

Been trying for purples for about 2 years. But i did get what i been calling earth morphs. Gold and blue= jade then bred jade and blue= bold jades then bred those with gold and got blue green and gold colors almost like mini planets.
