looks like your using keyboard and mouse, so for zombies with banging on door just hold control so your in combat stance and then press e, you'll open the door and then you can either attack or push instantly, your weapon swing seem really slow so i'd push , there is no need to fear opening doors when you remember this, if you want a key to a building, like police stations (which allows you access to the security doors), lure a zombie inside the building and kill them in the building, they have a chance to spawn a key to the building they die in .

Lacerations and scratches dont guarantee your infected(unless you play modded) bites are guaranteed infected, if you take a Laceration or scratch if you eat up and take meds you have a chance to beat the infection but if you get quesy or have a fever then your infected with the virus and its just time to go out swinging Edit: just wanted to add if your wound says its infected its not the zombie virus...just normal wound infection which you fight by keeping clean bandages on and disinfecting the wound

hi ya dude, killing those zeds like a champion, i been eagerly waiting for your next vid on Project Zomboid. now i am not Expert but i am definitely a veteran. always check your windows, you can turn off watch alarm by clicking the little bell on your watch in the top right hand corner of your screen. don't panic not yet anyway you may not be infected with the zombie infection. the infection on the health panel is an infected cut and is not the same as the zombie infection. the game doesn't tell you if you have the zombie infection. only way to tell is if you get sick and nauseous at the same time. the ammo for the gun, you need to open the boxes before you can reload and you can do that by pressing R. same with the nails, open the boxes. yes you can barricade windows need a hammer, nails and wooden planks

I'm not an expert... Day 200 currently, on my sixth character (counting the tutorial) and I found that you can aim, and open doors, with the "e" button... I've barely been to Rosewood...the 90 maps I added really made trips hard to plan and negotiate, and I had to go by Muldraugh, because my base is near Pony Roam-O, in the middle of nowhere, and then South a little, before heading back West, to get there. I had one character get stabbed by a tree, running in a forest, at midnight, and she bled out as a growling crowd followed along. My next character spawned a minute later, inside a burnt house full of zombies, with expected results. I was dead from all the bites, in a few seconds. My other two "deaths" were characters who's files mismatched, so they were invisible to me, not the zombies... ...modding...🙄...gets you one way or another, like this game. Sound, was an issue brought up in the old movie "Rollerball"...it's very important to hear what your eyes don't see. I don't use headphones, and I can't crank the sound because the dog just loves the noises this game makes, and barks her fool head off...especially the sirens. I am always paranoid in this game, because they are always out to get me, and they never stop, or sleep, or eat...unless. ...unless. 😉

Needs more spikes. Heard from a friend that's the win all.

Here's a little help... NO NONE SURVIVED Some of these may seem obvious others, I did not find others documented anywhere. Sometimes it is fun to figure things out on your own,but some things you would never figure out. Google ‘no one survived interactive map’. Google ‘no one survived beginners guide’. Google ‘no one survived wiki’. Good to know keys: R - Rotate item when placing items in backpacks and\or storage I - Lay down or sit to speed recovery of stamina. F - Add all components you have on you to the thing you are building F - connect and disconnect with cart. G - Allows better placement of build items T - Head light and shoulder light. B - Automatic, burst, and single shot on some guns. V - First Person, Third person view. C - Crouch - doesn't seem to work for stealth Y - to talk in multiplayer Enter - to text in multiplayer Shift and Mouse Wheel raises and lowers foundations blueprints. tab - to see inventory but also shows near items on ground that can be picked up. Right Click when backpack is open to turn left or right. Space - car brakes or just E to exit car quicker. NEED TO KNOW Always save before "Return to menu". Pressing escape does not stop your stats from declining. Early on you need a toolbox and Simple parts for workbench and storage. Use workbenches or cars for storage space. The latest version has ‘take all’ button to loot. Place a bed and set spawn point when looting, if you die or need to rest for stats. Remember to reset spawn point at home bed when you get back. There is no map marker where you die. You must remember exactly where you were to retrieve your stuff. Settings menus allow you to turn off horde night and special zombies, day lenght, loot respawn rate and lower zombie difficulty espawn rate. Running when going into water when swimming seems to move faster. Gun shots and cars attract zombies. Silencer helps. Low Hygiene allows zombies to detect you from a greater distance. Items left on ground for extended time will de-spawn (disappear). Later in the game Simple and Advanced parts become important and scarce. You can make these but they require lots of metal ingots. Ore in mines seems to start re-spawning ore by the time you have harvested it all. Trees re-spawn somewhat, ore fields eventually deplete but respawn on multiplayer. You can build and disassemble spikes to get behind when looting, so you are not overwhelmed by runners. Falling trees can kill you, logs don't. Crawlers and Fat Zombies are bullet sponges. Crawlers cannot jump, position yourself up on something if possible. Fat Zombies get stuck sometimes and could not come up to the second floor of a hotel or into a small doorway. ICONS Bleeding icon - Bandages or med-kit to stop bleeding. You can make a bandage under hammer icon if you have 2 cloth. Will sometimes stop on its own. Infection icon - Red icon at top left needs antibiotic needle to cure or you will die. If you can increase health enough meds and sleeping it can be overcome. Food Poisoning icon - chicken leg, needs yellow bottle of stomach medicine. Blue food icon - upper right is a food buff Antibodies - Antibody needle needed, will slowly recover, if you don't die from it. BUILDING BASE Create a base in the woods on flat land and near as many resources as possible like water, trees, food, road and ore field. Preferably to avoid places where zombies, wolves and bears spawn. Bottom left corner of C5 seem to have all of these. Build large base, you will end up needing 20-30 storage crates. Foundation and walls do not always snap together correctly leaving gaps or overlaps. This can cause cross beams not to fit or 2 pillars not to place together. Put up all the foundation and support blueprints before filling them in to make sure they fit, or you'll lose materials when disassembled. You do not get base building materials back when disassembling with hammer. You do get materials back when disassembling most other items with hammer allowing you to move or build them again. Build walls one and 1/3 high or storage shelves placed against wall will only hold 2 crates not 3. When placing shelves along wall hold G to pull away from wall one space to avoid beams blocking. This will allow the shelves to be placed closer together. Walls need a 2 pillar supports on each foundation and one on each corner foundation Avoid interior pillars you just run into them a lot. Use 2,3,4 cross beams to span across. Most buildings and workbenches do not require foundations. Buildings can be placed on the level ground if there are no obstructions. Foundations can make them easier to place and look better. Base does not have heat either seems to be 5 degrees F warmer inside your house. Smelting furnace is a source of heat if close. SKILLS Preferred method for uping skills is reading the level books or selling items to trader and recovering mood from cigarettes, alcohol and magazines. If mood is too low training stops. Below are some alternative ways to level up: Cooking skill - cook multiple bottles of dirty water over and over. Engineering skill - Building support pillars, and deconstructing them. (1 log each) Mechanical skill - make planks and\or arrows. Medical skill - make bandages over and over needs cloth (get from disassembling clothes and back packs). Electrical skill - making 10 liter gas from 1 liter of gas, (you can get from car) works for upper levels. You need to be standing at the workbench while making items to get skill experience points. COOKING Cook individual cans of meat and some cans of vegetables for more stats and it sometimes improves quality. Fishing is a good reliable cooked food source. Need ag bench, fishing pole, line and bait. Then cook. Short food life. Just about any combination of three, actual meat, vegetables and water will cook. Revive red or yellow canned food, cook it, then can it and it will return to full life. It'll cost 1 aluminum ingot to can. Refrigerator is weak, go for freezer if you have resources (needs 2 schematics) TRADER If you do a mission for trader, you are immediately fighting a horde. Reputation value with trader lowers prices. If you are trading and learning increase reputation first, trade and then learn, If you give over 100 to the trader for relationship anything over 100 disappears. Animal traders are at E1 and B2 Breeding pen - you can only have 2 adults 1 male and 1 female of same fertile animals at one time for them to breed. Sex of animals is by name Chicken and Rooster, Ram and Sheep, Pig and Boar. Zombie parts buy weapons BACKPACK HANDLING Press tab, drag item on the ground into the air, press tab again and you can carry them outside of backpack. Items carried this way have no weight. Could be used if your backpack is overloaded. or to carry something you can't fit into backpack or to get backpacks back to car. IF something you were carrying disappears it will be at the place you picked it up. You can swim or drive while carrying things this way. DISASSEMBLE Disassembling backpacks above -10 or good clothing will yield fine fabric and fur. Disassembling smaller backpacks and regular clothes just get cloth. Disassembling shoulder lights gets you plastic and electrical parts. Disassembling Tools get you iron and steel ingots. Making Simple or Advanced parts yield 3 for each set of ingots Iron arrows you get 5 arrows per iron ingot. CARS Three different drivable cars - hatchback, sedan (they will have smoke coming out) and the truck. Cars need a repair kit and gas to use. Only 2 vendors have car repair kits at D6 and C2 Animals and zombies can kill your car. Carry an extra repair kit if possible. Cars do not have heater. Place backpacks in trunk for increased storage. Backpacks can also go into storage crates. The truck is bigger but requires a lot of gas and is harder to control. If your car rolls under water, you are screwed. RAIDERS AND NPCs NPC will not appear in bandit jail unless you have a control center, power and water. Every NPC requires a house to be productive, 2 productivity per house. When bandits shoot at you, often you do not have time to reset your rifle. Keep shooting when you can, get distance or take cover. Pick them off from a distance when possible. Silencer and sniper scope helps. Only 5 of the bandit camps have NPCs. NPCs are only at C1, C5, B7, G6 and H1 bandit camps on New Map 02. Canteen, Log Cabin, Quarry, Botanical Garden, House, Livestock farm, Recreation Room and Medical room are for NPCs only. WEAPONS New arrows - right click on arrow and equip. Fish Bait arrows and zombie bait cause zombies to swarm to that location. It does not attract all on the horde on horde night. Lighting arrows just produce light Explosive arrow are very powerful once you have added scope mod - Double click right mouse - to see scope on rifle and guns. I am told all other weapon mods except scopes and magazines are cosmetic. A 2 is better mod In my opinion best weapon - SKS with high power scope and silencer (camo ones are little better) If it's helpful pass along to new players. hey dude. I am loving your journey. I got some more tips for you. press the B key it opens the crafting menu. Never eat Burnt food. -you approach to first aid was good. wrap it immediately. now do not worry if the wound says infected it does not mean you have the zombie virus it means the wound is infected and takes longer to heal. that is all. the game does not tell you if you have the zombie virus the only way to tell is if you get sick and nauseous at the same time. -Helicopters are bad. the sound brings zombies and it doesn't even rescue you. -the volume on the TV at level 2 is absolutely fine any higher and you might have problems. Life and living is the best channel you can gain skills at different times for the first 7 days. times are 6am, 12 midday, 6pm. -never let your character get to tired. fighting zombies while tired is a death sentence. -arrows next to skill mean that the skill is getting a multiplier if you hover over the skill it'll say how much the multiplier is. -guns make noise, alot of noise. using a gun make sure your nowhere near your base and know your escape route. -corpses around your house can be bad. it'll lead to corpse sickness which can kill you. - fire station is an OP base it'll have almost everything you need. i say move to the fire station but go there first and clear it out. -skill books give you a multiplier to your skills book 1 will work for levels 1 & 2, book 2 will give you a multiplier for level 3 & 4 and so on and so fourth. and yes it is a multiplayer. i would love to play with you some time and give you some more helpful tips. oh and first comment Woo

Cooking-go to the oven and high light it. Top of the inventory is a turn on button. To cooking food just right click it and if near a cooker it will give options. Map-find a pen and you can write on the map. Right click everything. It mostly will have interactions. I am enjoy your journey on project zomboid keep up the good videos.

you can check your map anytime, even in vehicles where you are safe from zombs if your windows are rolled up. you can also open the map and then pause the game. a helpful thing for vehicles is the V and Z buttons. V open the vehicle radial menu when you wake up to a car and press V. need to siphon gas? just get a empty bottle or gas can, and then walk up to a car and hit V. V has a different radial menu when you are in a car. Z lets you change seat within the car.

hey, your doing well keep up the videos. to answer a question. the sounds you hear in the background are Meta events. the sounds are ment to help move the zombies around the map so you always have to stay alert and on your toes. zombies left alone tend to gather ingroups, lets face it no one wants tobe alone and a little hint for you. that big purple building on the map is high school. great place for loot

I made sure not to completely research this game before I played it. I added 90 extra maps that will run simultaneously with no overlap of areas...and a few things to make it a tad more realistic, like, if you eat nails or glass, yeah, expected results. Like the person laying there, by the bleach, they chose oblivion, over zombification. At over 400 hours, and on Day 158 (fifth or sixth character), the snow started falling...not like I wasn't warned, with the growing cold creeping in. The strange sounds you hear are the games way of messing with you, and your character, who may or may not walk around as a nervous wreck half the time, like mine does... Drugs, help hold that back, along with the boredom. I made the mistake of staying sheltered too long, and eating ice cream until my character was overweight... Do not do that. Well, unless if you're a masochist, it really messes up combat, making you tired after three swings, hungry, and slower... Kitty (my character) started boot camp, at home. Day 120 I managed to drop that trait, and picked up Stout, by literally picking up zombies off my roads...and running (sorta) around the block in the morning, along with working out every other day...so the pain wouldn't be constant... Making it home from a long and dangerous trip always feels good... It's good to see you made it...\😃/

The esc button pauses my game... There is also a little "pause" button for game speed too, upper right corner... Doesn't seem like they work for everyone...lately...🤔

You was in Riverside in your last game now you are in Rosewood.. Rosewood is basically one main road going south/north, at west from your current location, you will find everything you need and on the other side of that main road you are going to find the gated houses with large fences that zombies can't climb.. With basic carpentry it's easy to secure. The police station and fire station are down the main road next to each other. Good luck with that one.

That’s it. I’m invested. The fact that you’re not even a seasoned PC user and you’re learning everything on the fly. Looking forward to when you’re clearing hordes of the undead and surviving on harder settings but take your time. This game ain’t easy

a couple of tips for you my man. there are hot bars at the bottom to make accessing weapons easier. equip the bat on your back and one handed weapons on your belt. once you found a key for a car. walking near the car the key belongs to a key icon will appear above your characters head. hiding and staying quite is a valid playing method. once injured, bandage as soon as possible and then just rest and eat your character will heal. first aid kits are a container, equip it in your hand and the icon will appear in your inventory so you can search the box. i do not want to give to much away as playing and discovering stuff out is half the fun. I have subbed and following your journey, ask me anything I'll help if I can. edit. i forgot to say. your doing very well i am impressed.

You drive your inventory like a pro now. Maybe more tips; if you want to stay in combat mode without holding the right mouse button you can press left CTRL one time that's what I'm doing. Finding a fonctionnal car early in game is a big milestone but like you said every hit damage it, so try to avoid any contact. If you find a gas station before the electricity goes down you can fill your car. The menu for cars is ''V'' when you are inside or aside of it, you have different options. When the power will shutdown you won't be able to fill your car anymore unless you find a generator, you have to place it next to the gas pump (a generator have a 10 tiles radius to power everything inside of it) and YOU NEED to find the magazine about generators or you won't be able to use them unless you are an engineer. Lock picking doors is not in PZ vanilla but you can do it with a mod in the steam workshop there's hundreds of mods. PZ is a really big community you can find a lot of good mods without making it too easy. I subscribed to follow your learning. Have fun!

just some info but hold a knife in ur hand and u can dimantle items such as clothes tools and backpacks for materials if the tool is steel u get steel if it doesnt specify material its prolly iron from it like your sword

btw always collect all the military and hiking bags bc u can use them in a vehicle to hold more stuff when looting if u pick it up off ground as item and close inventory u can run with it till u open inventory again to drop it

love this game ill try to get caught up before dropping hints but hope u enjoy it also make sure u keep antiviral and antibiotics on u at all times
