Thanks Derek. The D zone is passive to stop cross ice passes. Not sure if it's worth keeping this style when it keeps the ducks hemmed in their own zone for long stretches though

Derek, would you mind asking about the team's defense down the line? This passive Man-to-Man schema seems to be hurting more than they are helping. The team's not been aggressive against the puck carrier and they get hemmed into their own zone for extended periods of time as a result.. Mind asking about that?

After 30 years of being Ducks fan from Toronto, I’m pretty much done with this team. A full rebuild only to be this pathetic?

How are our 19, 20, 21, and 22 year old players getting outhustled by guys in their mid 30's coach?

Cronin looks ragged. I'm sure this start is killing him and it's a shame this team is going to get him fired. It's not his system that is resulting in missed shots. It's not his system that prevents forwards from shooting the puck. And it's definitely not his system that is preventing guys on the rush from taking advantage of what the moment is giving them and scoring goals. Shots going off posts, bad passes, lazy forechecking, that's not on Cronin. IF these guys need a coach to yell at them and beat them down in practice, then they're not mature enough to be in the NHL.

Cronin can analyze what we are doing wrong. What he doesn’t have are answers. We need a veteran coach that can coach this team out of this funk.

How much longer are we going to give this guy a chance? It's not working and every game is the same. There's no offense at all and every player looks like garbage. Change the head coach and try something different.

Yeah the I don’t know answers are a bit alarming. Why not point out some positives and then constructive criticisms to lift the team up because clearly they are frustrated. Scoring from top guys will come soon, but for dear God change the defensive zone structure and tell the D to not stand still when they have the puck. Excited for when Zelly and Luneau make a jump in their game this year or next year

This guy is killing a potential surprising positive season for this team and growth for these young players. This team could be phenomenal with years to come but I could see why Carlsson, McTavish, Dostal , Gauthier, Mintyukov would opt to go elsewhere after rookie contracts run out if he stays around. They look like they’ve quit on him.

Coaching is the issue, plain and simple.

How do you get Z to score?? Put him on his off-side on the PP and have him be the trigger man. He led the team in PP points under Eakins. His shots have a way of either going in or generating high danger rebounds. Go watch his rookie highlights. So many points are him ripping 1Ts on the PP.

I do think giving the C to Gudas was a bad move. Imagine if McT had it. It would definitely boost his game and ego. Giving it to Gudas sent message to the team that your performance on ice doesn't matter.

How many times do we need to see the same interview, where he says well I don't know? They clearly know what he wants but they can't or won't do it. They look like they are just going through the motions for two periods. Agree that this 1st time coach and 1st time GM don't seem to be working. He said it, after 10 games we know what they are... For someone with 10-15years of pro coaching experience (5 as an assistant coach for the Islanders, he sure says I don’t know a lot. I see why a lot of teams use retread coaches. Bring back Boudreau!

Every Ducks game is the same... - They get severely outshot - They lose most of the faceoffs - Their PP stinks - They spend the majority of their shift on defense and have nothing left once they get puck - The puck possession numbers are overwhelmingly in favor of the opponent - Dostal is amazing - McTavish and Zegras give a lot of effort with zero results Cronin needs to be fired before this entire season is wasted and the young players have bad habits enforced
