Bluebird by Charles Bukowski
#CharlesBukowski #Bukowski #poem #poetry
Narrator: Tom O’Bedlam (SpokenVerse)
Poem: Bluebird by Charles Bukowski
there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too tough for him,
I say, stay in there, I'm not going
to let anybody see
you.
there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I pour whiskey on him and inhale
cigarette smoke
and the whores and the bartenders
and the grocery clerks
never know that he's in there.
there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too tough for him,
I say,
stay down, do you want to mess
me up?
you want to screw up the works?
you want to blow my book sales in
Europe?
there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too clever, I only let him out
at night sometimes
when everybody's asleep.
I say, I know that you're there,
so don't be sad.
then I put him back,
but he's singing a little
in there, I haven't quite let him
die
and we sleep together like
that with our
secret pact
and it's nice enough to
make a man weep, but I don't
weep, do you?

Poem: If I Could Tell You by W-H. Auden Time will say nothing but I told you so, Time only knows the price we have to pay; If I could tell you I would let you know. If we should weep when clowns put on their show, If we should stumble when musicians play, Time will say nothing but I told you so. There are no fortunes to be told, although, Because I love you more than I can say, If I could tell ...

Written by Mary Elizabeth Frye Narrator: Tom O'Bedlam Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do ...

I have always loved Edgar Allan Poe. For Halloween last year I made him a gravestone for my front yard. It had a raven perched on top and a black rose attached to the left side. For his epitaph I used “Leave My Loneliness Unbroken”.

I guess i have that desire then. The Spectator Mode it is pointless. If you are never a part of anything and you can never die, it means that you been dead all along. Instead of trying to be a spectator, or giving to yourself the Game Over Screen, try to find those little things that bring you joy. Enjoy the life, in a way that is not fake so you will discover your true self. For nothing you go to clubs or drink until you fade away, this will not get rid of this feel, it will amplify it. Joy it comes when your soul, like a child enjoy beeing alive. Discovering new surroundings and discovering himself with them.

The problem is in suffering, existence is unethical. Stupidity is not the answer but striving to be ethical and rational is good, by extinctionism.

The fact that people aren't really humans; that they wake up, get dressed, go do some labor, yet they are jealous, miserable and have only 2 digits to their IQ's. That species-wide stupidity affects how much money we as individuals will make in life. These are monkeys, jealous monkeys, not humans; to be human, shouldn't you at least have a triple digit IQ? I think so, but if you have a 130 IQ, you are in the top 3% in intelligence on the planet. Realize who you are, where you are, and keep living. Something is very terrible about this realm. Everything kills something else every day and eats it, in order to keep living. In the Book of Judas (banned book of the Bible) Jesus said that his heavenly Father doesn't have jurisdiction over this world; that his Father was in a different part of the universe, and that this world was run by Satan. I don't think God likes this place very much. Either we get born again in some other person or creature, maybe here or in some other part of the universe, or we go on in this 'self' to some other adventure after death, or it is complete nothingness. We're on this assembly line belt moving through time to 'something'. Don't try to find out too soon; the East Indian Scripture states that nothing is worse than suicide, because you immediately have to do a life again, and in future lives, you will be prone to more suicides. Stay the course, try to make yourself happy and be a good person.

I heard from someone who barely survived a massive car accident, that dying is like if someone took a pair of scissors, and cut the movie film. It's just sudden nothingness.

I am raped and I want to die I CANNOT WAIT TO DIE I'M IN HELL WITH NO ESCAPE THERE'S NO ESCAPE FROM THE SUFFERING 45 years of hell and torment and torture and soul-rape and suffering I'm in hell my soul is raped I wish for nothing other than death but... what if the afterlife is worse than this life? that thought paralyzes me with breathless terror I CANNOT WAIT TO DIE, nonetheless I've been in hell for 45 years, I can no longer bear it This will seem random, but... I need help I need unbiased advice please, if you're reading this, and you feel called to respond to this comment, I'm open to hearing from anyone who has something to share... I have been plagued with an awful dilemma I have been ruminating and obsessing over this for over 8 months now I had a therapist an AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL therapist the absolute worst of the worst instead of helping me and healing me he damaged me and traumatized me but I was too traumatized to do anything about it, at the time I basically saw him for all of 2023 then I KNEW I could NEVER see him again HE'S AWFUL but... he's also somehow wildly successful and I can file a formal complaint but if I do this I must do it soon the filing seems like a long and arduous process and in the end, it's his word against mine... I also don't know if I reap any particular benefits? except he may get somewhat reprimanded and I may get to speak up and use my voice I don't know what to do I must make a decision soon thoughts, anyone?
