@juanmunoz295 it does have some quirks that could have been done a little differently when s&w designed it. There is definitely something to be said about how easy and enjoyable a 9mm carbine is to shoot though and this one is very much so.

@notsuspiciousrussiandog9786 yes and no, the 1911 is excellent and has proven itself for a long time now but there are just as good or better options out there depending on your needs. Lighter , more compact, higher round capacity, less recoil and easier take down can all be found in other handguns for the same price or less.

There is just so many great options these days. I would definitely recommend trying a couple different frame sizes and caliber options with some loaner guns from your local range. I currently rotate my carry between glock, sig, Springfield, s&w and beretta but If I know I can place shots and the gun don't malfunction that's what's most important.
