Weird how they are “defining” a republic incorrectly. It’s a democratic republic. The voting for representatives is democratic, and the republic is where those people are the governing body. A “pure” republic does not get to vote for representatives. It’s a democratic republic.
While we understand what you are saying, there is a difference between the definition of a republic (which this series discusses) and the description of our system of government. As designed by the framers, 2.5 of the 3 branches of government were not even democratically elected, with the most powerful branch, the judiciary, being entirely unelected by the people. This division of power diffused among the people and states has provided profound protection against tyranny and dictatorship. We would humbly submit that Dr. Benjamin Franklin, who was present for the constitutional convention and one of its key architects, knew a little bit more about what form of government the framers intended to design than casual, modern observers. If you go back and read the records from the constitutional convention and the Federalist Papers, you will find even more conclusive evidence that the founder sought designed a republic and not a democracy.

Exactly, literally no one is claiming America is a direct democracy. But we are a representative democracy, or a democratic Republic.

Hey @dhwyll! If you read the Constitution, you’ll find that only half of one of three branches of government was designed to be democratically elected (the House of Representatives). Because the Senate has so many special powers, their election was originally diffused through state legislatures rather than the people directly. This did not change until the progressive era. To this day, the executive branch comes to power through the electoral college, which protects the vote of people in smaller states to guard against the tyranny of the majority (democracy). Our judicial branch is the most protected of all, which is appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate, neither of whom were directly elected by the people. As Mr. Mailand concludes, this is very significant because it diffuses power in a unique manner that has guarded the American people from tyranny in a manner that is uniquely effective in the scope of world history.

When the original constitution was drafted everyone was an illegal stealing land from indigenous peoples. If you are born in the US you are a citizen. Like it not its the way it is . Period. Youve had over a hundred years to get used to the idea. How about revolking citizenship ship from anyone not at least 1/2 native american?
Additionally, I thought the purpose of a pardon is to bring compassion to justice. When the letter of the law is applied, a pardon corrects toward compassion for real justice.

I want the domination of the Yoos to end, and i understand, that the most peaceful solution is having Jesus here. My nation Germany tried it before, but it wasnt the right time. Temptation by seduction, a feeling of addiction to nicotine and weed to calm the soul, and resisting to hate those of the REV 3.9, as German who found questionable statements they made, wich are illegal to question in most countrys.
