Hi there. At 27 seconds you say 'and you need this function' and clickon something on a line of tools down the side which aren't i present on my inkscape. How do i add that line of functions to the side?

When I clip an underlying shape to remove and then transfer to DXF, only the underlaying shape in its original form appears as DXF but incomplete where clipped Any ide why?

I've been trying for hours - tried the same thing as you, nothing happens. I'm done with Inkscape. Worst software experience I've had. With "Graphic" app on iPad it's super simple. With Affinity Designer it's also super simple. And I'm sure I would've figured it out in Illustrator in 5 seconds. But with Inkscape it's rocket science. Connecting nodes in a vector software should be one of the easiest things since it's one of the most common things to do. Inkscape is one of the least intuitive softwares I've used.

Why not just select and hit delete and that is all?

The thing that I hate about Exercism is that they dont explain half the things that they test you on. The last function in this exercise is a prime example. No explanation, were just supposed to know it somehow. I understand the Exercism is not for beginners, but they advertise as if they are. Plus, Im from the US, and whoever writes the exercises clearly isnt, because the wording is so foreign to me.
