Hello, I have experience with Java 6 and some familiarity with Java 8 (lists, streams, etc.). I'm currently pursuing a diploma, and after completing it, I plan to pursue a BTech in CSE. During my BTech, I want to earn some side income to ease the financial burden on my parents, as I come from a lower-middle-class family. Could you please advise me if I can start freelancing with Java or if I should consider shifting to the MERN stack?

Actually forget about these MERN or Java thing 😅. Answer is simple. Nothing is saturated and all that. The Stack is saturated. It doesn't mean anything for the company. Think in terms of what projects the companies are working in. That's how the perspective should be. Think in terms of companies. If you want to work in Start-ups go blindly for MERN and if you eant to work for Big MNCs then for Java. Here's also some parts of the discussion is tricky because some service based medium indian companies are also using Java so if you want a good job and that too a good high package salary and expertise then go with Java to work in these types of Companies. But Big MNCs will definitely test the crap out of you on Java before letting you in their company. Always remember. Java in Big MNCs means Big 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑💰💰💰 and the same way a good MERN stack developer for startups can also give you may be even higher than Big MNCs if can negotiate and showcase your skills. But Big MNCs can give you sustainable growth, promotion and alongwith other guaranteed stock benefits with exponential Salary growth even higher than mern developer if you can persist enough for long time
