An Daras Cornish Folk Arts Project is an outreach of the Lowender Peran Celtic Festival. An Daras celebrates and explores the tradition songs, dances, music and folktales of Cornwall and associated customs.

The Mermaids Revenge

A tale of love,Lust and revenge in the Parish of Perranzabuloe. Perranporth's own mermaid folktale brought to life as a community play. This production was directed by Jim Carey and Alice King of Kneehigh Theatre as part of the Kernow Bys Vykken Project. It was performed at Lowender Peran and the Hall For Cornwall in 2000.
Lament for the Beast

The Lament for the Beast is sung during the ritual death and rebirth of the Beast of Bodmin during Gwary Bosvenna - The Bodmin Play. This takes place on the first Saturday in July during the Bodmin Riding and Heritage Festival. The tune is based on the Pencarrow Hunt
