Saw you around 5 years ago for the 1st time at Rancho Nicasio with Lara Price. Your parents were there and I had to thank them for their part in making you the artist you are today. Please thank them again as you are remarkable and no less, you have a great future ahead.

Thanks for posting this, I Love Love LOVE Laura Chavez, it was this song that drew me to her 7 years ago. I enjoyed hearing her play in NorCal a few times and I miss hearing her playing this way. I would like to hear her play Little Wing on her strat again!

Couldn't agree more. I was lucky enough to be visiting blues clubs on the S.F. peninsula when Laura was coming up. Once I heard her unplugged with Lara Price, just the two of them. She rocks on acoustic too! It was like, long ago, hearing Robben Ford in a little club in Palo Alto. My cup runneth over...

Interesting to compare her treatment with Orianthi's. Orianthi, soloing with Steve Vai, jumped right in with bravura technique, but there wasn't much of an arc to her solo. Laura (whom I heard play this at The Little Fox in Redwood City) starts quiet and simple, builds up, then retreats, and advances again. Orianthi blows your mind with her fretboard technique. Laura breaks your HEART with her song, straight from her soul to yours. She's, like, 27 going on 77!

She's an awesome guitarist. So dumb when people say she's a great "female"guitarist. She's just great, gender aside. She doesn't play piano with her girlie parts. She plays with her hands and her heart and has had to work super hard like every other notable guitarist in the world. Laura Chavez rocks.
