Wow... I loved this game, but I found it very hard to get used to the real physics. Can't remember if I finished it or not, but I did enjoy it.

1990's quality CGI. But play it on full realism...

I-War was something special, bought it when it first came out, it's an awesome game, not only the Newtonian flight model but the fact you were in command of a corvette not some fighter, the ship had mass and acted like it. Completed it a few times, but scripting always seemed to be a bit of a weak spot for Particle Systems, their earlier offering Subwar 2050 suffered from serious scripting issues as well. This may be one where the strategy guide is an important aid!

amazing hw long this game was.. just 4 hours of video... not even counting the gameplay

My dad had this game on our Windows 95 (and later 98 when he bought that) and I would try to play this game to no avail. I didn't understand this game at the time when it was released as I was only a little kid but I still had fun playing it (along with the wing commander games). It took me a while to find this game again all these years and I found out that it's available on both Steam and GOG!

If only Chang would let go of his hate of the Federation, the Dominion would've gotten their wig split long before Martok did. Not taking anything from Martok but Chang would've split the Dominion's wig a lot faster. I doubt Chang would put up with Gowron for long. Kor was 10 seconds from putting his dagger in his back.himself.

Its a shame a Constitution Refit must get her wig split but this is not the 24th century and the Klingons are not allies.

Absolute classic. Really makes me wish for a modern Microsoft developed combat flight sim. The terrain visuals were amazing for the time.

The same error, only immediately upon logging into the game, six months ago everything worked fine, I have already tried everything, all the ways, nothing helped

This game was and is still today so mutch fun to play in coop with 4 ppl we play i regualy since release awesome flight model an HD update would be nice though :-)

I remember nagging my mother to buy this for me just because I like the box art, I was 16 or 17 years old. Didn’t know anything about the game at all, but I was immediatly blown away and played it to death. The intro cinematic is still the best there is, and the gameplay holds up as well. How to avoid self-destruction?

Great storyline but a very difficult game to play.

an irony with Starfleet vessel in both Academy and Bridge commander, is that their excellent shield and Phaser coverage makes them great at grappling tactic. They can just stick to the enemy at close range and constantly maneuvering out of enemy weapon arc while pressuring with constant phaser fire. meanwhile Klingon vessel with their forward focused weapon need rooms to perform hit and run.

Have you solved the problem?

Only problem is that it's buggy as all hell! And yes, I've tried the patches. They don't help. In over twenty years I've never completed this game. Because something happens. A planet you're bombarding not taking damage, your support ships staying in cloak and not helping you (and forcing you to fight one against three), the game plainly crashing, etc. These Interplay Star Trek games were quite buggy (as, quite frankly, PC games in general often were back then) but this one took it to the next level!

So this is retro 90s sim I must've miss this one I had a F22 by nova logic but I don't recall this one I like it though nice.

This and online on this game actually was the best star trek siimulator game ever eveen to this day.. i remember playing online and you can actually warp away and they can track and follow you while you try to repair your ship.. this game was great on gamespy arcade, fighting near black holes, or in planet rings, or in gas giants or even in a suns corona.. its sad no other star trek game has even come close
