Zanadu also breeds Tonkinese. These Tonk babies are 14 weeks old and this is their first time out on the porch so they are just a bit out of their comfort zone. Aug 6 Phoenix kittens are now just about 12 weeks old. All are tabby point (or lynxpoint) with 3 being blue tabby point and the other 2 lilac tabby point. Forgive my errors in speech. The kitten who was hiding is a blue tabby not lilac. And the father is a solid blue. Hope you enjoy the kittens playing.

I hate it when they try to make it too white, because it damages them. You need the boys to be grey and natural and friendly. It's not just about the looks - it's about happiness.
I don't quite understand your comment about "too white" This is a young boy who has yet to shade. All pointed cats will shade to some degree over their body in the tone as their points. At 5 years old now, CzechMate has shaded, but as an 8 month old boy he was very light in the body

Not solid black but definitely solid seal (dark brown) which in CFA is known as Natural.
Very interesting to watch their inert-action, definitely a bit of negotiation going on lol. But all settled in the end. Of course the kittens are oblivious and so comical, especially the frisky one playing with the tail, outward looking or what haha.
Oh they are so adorable, mum looks just like our tonk girl. They really are a marvellous breed, with amazing personalities. Even though our is a rubber band puss that hates not being on us or at least touching, we get her off us and no more then a few seconds later she is back.

I am getting Birman kitten and I am searching videos because now they are month old so I need to wait some time for them to grow before I can go and take it, but I'm so excited. I never actually got a cat or dog from breeder, my entire life I had cats coming to my yard and thats how I usually got kittens and all of my pets. My dear cat passed away and she looked like russian blue and she had white mittens and my parents wanted me to have my favorite cat breed for my birthday. Of course, because it takes a while for them to grow, I will get it almost 2 months after birthday, but it will still be the best birthday gift ever
I hope you enjoyed these babies. Congratulations on you new kitten. I know that the waiting can be hard but I am certain it will be worth it.

Cute Tonkinese kittens! I wish I could have one! My family has had three Burmese cats (which I believe are related to Tonks). The last one we had sadly died nearly two years ago the day before Thanksgiving :(
Thank you for your comment. The breed was developed back in the 50s and 60s by crossing Burmese with Siamese. The result is this "in between" moderate breed. Lovely in looks and personality.
