Glad for Bert’s Roman Empire update😂

The author of We Used to Live Here called our bookshop one day and asked if we had a copy. Not knowing it was him, my coworker who loves horror and adored his book, went on and on about it, suggesting it to him 😂! He told her he wrote it and was traveling the coast I believe while he worked on his next book, staying at motels and visiting bookshops that he’d look up along the way. He came in and promised to come back soon. I didn’t work that day! She loved him, said he was great! I bought the book for him to sign when he passes back through, but haven’t gotten to read it yet! Netflix acquired the rights!…not to my copy 😂 .

I enjoyed the Alice Robert's book. The Bone Chests by Cat Jarman is on my tbr shelf - looking forward to that one. Hope you are having a good week.

We Used to Live Here was one of the worst books I read last year so good luck with that one. I’ll never trust Nick Cutter’s blurbs again 😂 Witchcraft for Wayward Girls is good though! I’m buddy reading it with a friend and I’m just over half way. Hopefully it sticks the landing. I really fancy the Aria Aber so look forward to your review!

The chocolate almonds sound so good. Claire Keegan's writing is wonderful and at least if it's not for you, you won't have wasted days or weeks reading it! X
