Did you have a discussion of that practical ,plzz
Thank you dr ..

What is the spelling of the end if the root tip. Didn't quite hear it
Could you give me a rough idea of when Simon says this?
@@schoolofbiomedicalsciences13481:13 the aethecal end of the root tip, that's what I hear him say but I'm not sure. The part where he grinds it on the slide.
He says: "We gently apply pressure to the apical end of the root tip.."
Why didn't you put the slide in 3% acetic acid after hydration of the slide?
Hi Harrison, I use a solution of Alcian blue that already incorporates the acetic acid; Simply tip it on and start the timer🙂
sorry for asking. i want to ask if those images shown are the actual images of the sample he prepared.
Hi Janus, Simon probably used stock images from an online source as the microscope he is using has no capacity for taking digital images of that quality.
Thank you doctor Andy, I understand this so much better now!
Thank you very much, sorry for the delay responding!
This is really helpful! Thanks!
Hı , What is the name of the blue solution you pour into the onion root tissue?
Hi Selda, We are using acetic orcein.
@@schoolofbiomedicalsciences1348 thank you so much
I thought you were Simon Pegg in the thumbnail 😅
We couldn't get Simon Pegg so opted for Simon Fox as he is cheaper (read: free!)!
I was always told to never ever put anything back into a container?
It's a fine balance between cost of reagent and risk of contamination! Andy is an immunologist so his reagents cost.. shall we say a fair bit; He saves all he can and it's now force of habit!
hey im thinking of going into biomedcail science do you have any tips for those going to their first year ?
didn't know that tip for coverslipping omg
omg, what a video quality
great video. I got a lot of tips. I just wish I had seen pictures of how the blades looked.
Me gustaria trabajar en un Laboratorio donde hablen un poco de Español . Soy profesional Universitario. Very good yours videos. Thank you
