Cave Science Week 2021 at Under the Jungle
Cave Science Week is Under the Jungle's annual citizen science project. Under the Jungle alumni team up with hydrogeologist Dr. Patricia Beddows from Northwestern University to tackle the problem of how to measure the volume of water traveling through a single cave passageway over a year. It's a lot more complex and difficult than you might think!

In 2011, Cave Divers Natalie L Gibb and Vincent Rouquette-Cathala were invited to explore a special little cave near Tulum, Mexico. While the landowners have no desire to open the cave to the public, they were happy to learn about the beautiful cave system under their house.

CENOTE ANTARES

Cenote Antares is a newly discovered cave, currently under exploration by the Under the Jungle team. Antares has microbial sediments, jagged formations, and a strange green color caused by a light concentration of hydrogen sulfide. This video features landowner Valentín López, and diver Julien Fortin, as we take him on his first dive at Antares. Visits to Antares can be arranged upon request.

as a fellow cave diver, I enjoyed your video. It just needs a tad more about cave diving. If you ever happen to visit Turkey you should dive in Zeus cave in Kusadasi, Suluin cave in Finike Antalya (Asias Deepest Cave), and Derinsu cave in Derik Mardin, Yesilgoz cave in Kahramanmaras.
