Actually he does have many haters. Mostly because he literally changed the definition of what a playback singer was in India till the 90s. He was handsome, charismatic, open and honest, did mimicry, and above all he is incredibly talented. No one could believe that any singer could be so talented and popular with the fans. So lot of people became very insecure about him. Then in 2013, came the Copyright law and he was at the peak of his career but took a stand on it for legal contracts. It was the perfect excuse to tear him down, and the music labels and certain actor/producers did that. But no one can keep a talent like Sonu down. He has survived it all. Still rocking, singing and packing stadiums house full all across the world.
