Sorry audio isn't the best, what did you need to know that's not shown? Take off the c clip, take off the 3 washers, make sure the keyway is straight and knock out the small pin with a small drift and then the big square pin, put in the key and this levels all the wafers in the barrel so you can push out the barrel using something like an allen key with a 90deg bend in it. Assembly if obviously the reverse 👍

The lift pin info is out of date, if the rpm rises a little and then stays the same the idle mix is still too rich, you need it so that when you lift the pin it slows down. If you were using a proper exhaust probe you would see this yourself. The info in old manuals is now not relevant to our modern day requirements.

Hi, you are right that you should for a direct replacement. Although really you will need to dial in the mixture anyway and if it is slightly off you can compensate with the mixture nut. I've used the lift pin and colour tune to get it close to the right mixture. I'm just putting out videos on dialing in basic settings, air leaks, timing, fuel and electronics over the next couple of weeks that may be helpful.

good luck with the fiddly clips for that seal! I gave up on mine and fitted the later seal that goes on the boot opening rather than the lid! Getting close to finish line now!

Yeah they are a pain, they need a little adjustment with pliers before use annoyingly. If it wasn't a restoration I would likely have gone for the newer style.
