If you want to use small places in the Go Power and Emboss....Use Sizzix and/or Spellbinder Universal plates. I have the GP&E, the Sizzix Switch Plus and did have the Big Gemini (which I found problematic because of all the different sandwiches and shims and such I'd have to use for a simple task, so I gave it away). The Go Power and Emboss is my quietest machine. My only wish is that it had a flat top so I could prep and set plates and projects. The Sizzix Switch Plus is okay but very wide at almost 15" compared with the GP&E at 13.5". Thanks for the comparison, that was terrific. If I had access to it (I'm in Australia) I'd buy the Teresa Collins machine, that intrigues me.

I bought the Gemini about 3 months ago. I hate it. So I just got the power go emboss. I haven’t used it yet but I think it will be awesome

Hi the Couture Creations sandwich is supposed to be A plate (white) then C plate Cardstock & die facing down then B plate….it’s a GREAT machine

Great review thanks. Would also like to point out that neither the Gemini or Express cut Big Z Dies the mouths are not deep enough. I sympathise with people that have a lot of these dies and cannot use them, only with the Cut n Boss. You have made up my mind to which one I need. Thank you.

it looks like this is not the best machine for cutting/ I do like your idea of using a lazy Susan to access the machine front and back very easily.

Please allow me to ask a question, why do you cut into plates like the metal plates and the magnetic ones? I just was given a used Gemini Jr, and am tossing the magnet plate cuz it is such a mess. What I did was take my Cuttlebug magnetic put the metal shim on it, dies blades up then paper, with 1 cutting plate on both outer sides! One time through and works perfect 99% of the time.....love all you are showing so please keep put the great work! Blessings!

Hello You forget a very importend sheet to cut the dies. You have also to use the magnetic rubber sheet. Then it works much better. Gr. Riet from Hollans

in your opinion, which has the best cutting pressure? I already own the Teresa Collins. Do you think it's worth an upgrade? I'm not the type who needs latest and greatest, just looking for an excellent machine.

Thank you for sharing this I’ve spent what amounts to hundreds of pounds on USBs with charisma and even when I print actual size as they tell you to do . I line up to the corner add the files and it doesn’t fit the scanned in charisma .maybe now I can actually use those very expensive Usb x

Trouble with you second conversation using the clipping tool, is you literally have to save one shape at a time as far as I can tell. I have a more complex design in canvas workspace and used the clipping tool to import all of my shapes for the same colour of card, but I can't separate those shapes in design space to be able to line them up to see my final design before cutting. Design space is a dreadfully poor and highly limited software. But thanks for showing the basics. I would have preferred you demonstrated multiple cutting shapes.

Thank you! Thank you! As for the cutting of the dies, Sara Davies did an instructional video describing how to get the best cut from the machines. It has to do with the number of cutting points across the width of the die. The more cutting points, the lower the overall pressure will be. Do you know the difference between the scan n cut and the design n cut? I brought the design n cut from Tuesday Morning but haven’t used it as of yet. TFS!👍🏽

this video is so informative, I found really helpful information. I have my own channel here so I know the amount of time it takes to make videos like this, setting it up, working out what you want to feature and the points you want to say and demo, so I really appreciate the effort Your style is also lovely and relaxed so it makes it comfortable to listen too. The only thing I would say, and nothing to do with the video, but when i did a video on a die cutting machine and mentioned that Sue Wilson was using another set of plates in the machine, I didn't even demo it ! I got a very nice message from spellbinders (and I imagine this may apply with other companies too) to say if you use other companies plates or in my videos case it was using the Grand Calibur plates in the Platinum so same company even, that the warranty is voided. I think personally I would take the risk, but obviously it is something you might need to mention to your viewers just so they can make that choice themselves. Big hugs xxx

Thank you for demoing the 3 machines as I am needing an electric die machine, my ??? is if needing to replace mats for the Empress are they difficult as I searched Amazon & HSN with no luck as I found easily as the Gemini? That Is my concern.
