There are some great tips in this video! I love the matching look at the bus depot 😂
Ha ha ha, 🤣 We have set filming t.shirts to avoid having to make too many micro decisions - that t.shirt was such a hilarious coincidence on the day 🤣
Congratulations. I wish you success 🎉
Thanks so much, really appreciate your support! 🙏
I’ve done that river trip to V T a couple of times. The first time on one of the older, slower ferries that used to do that run. They all gradually broke down and replaced by the faster ferries. The last one I think caught on fire and sank. I enjoyed those river trips
That does sound adventurous! 😂
🇧🇩❤️🇳🇿BD❤NZ
Awesome! A great trip along the South Central Coast
Glad you enjoyed it @leoh4599. Thanks for sharing. 🙏
👍 My favourites? Most of the above! Egg banh mi for breakfast is right up there.
Yeah I have gotten a bit hooked on egg bánh mi now, going to miss it!
Great! You have captured it very well. I have fond memories of Can Tho and the Mekong.
We enjoyed making memories there too. A very special place filled with special people
Banh Xèo is a coconut flavored pancake filled with pork, shrimp and bean sprouts. Usually three times the size you were served. You break a piece off and them wrap with lettuce and the rest of the spices.
Thank you @kimheight649 for helping us with this. We thought there was better out there. We had higher expectations for the Banh Xèo, so on our return to this wonderful country got to experience the real deal ! Didn't know that about the lettuce 🥬. We appreciate you letting us know 🙏🙏
considering how little views and subscribers you have, I was expecting a mediocre or low quality video. I'm glad to say I'm mistaken, great video, good quality. I think it would be really fun if you spoke about the cooking process a little more, historical importance and taste. Enjoyed watching!
@mangoicecream9588 thank you so much for giving such helpful feedback. We are in our infancy, but with supporters like you it keeps us going. We appreciate learning from others. 🙏🙏🙏Love the name by the way. 🤗
Banh mi is vietnamese sandwich. Made with pâte, homemade Mayo, pickled cucumbers and carrots, and other assorted meats/cold cuts and. even egg or porkchop. Original version is always made with the pâte, saucissons etc.
Our favourite now is Op la. We love the fresh coriander and egg combo. Thanks @kimheight649 for your comment. 🙏🙏
Terrible.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. Perhaps you can let us know what you thought was so terrible.
Looks amazing I need to pay a visit to Vietnam.
Vietnam food is delicious. Sooo fresh and tasty. Well recommend a visit @effjoo just for the food experience. Thanks for caring and sharing 🙏
This actually makes me want to try the tour 😊 thank you
I am so happy to hear that! Please let us know if you do, and tell us your thoughts.
The nighttime video looks great, so much history and sights packed into just over 7mins.
Thank you @astralpurrjection5931, it's actually a 3 hour tour. So glad you enjoyed it 🙏
This is Clara. Thank you, Justine and Darryl, for visiting the floating market with me. Thank you for making such a meaningful video about the city where I live. I wish your UA-cam channel grows and becomes more and more well-known. Clara.
Clara it's thanks to you and your efforts on the day we have a great experience to share. We really can't thank you enough and yes let's hope for all of us that the right people see this and we all benefit including your town from this share ❤️
Please come to Hoian and Danang city to make videos with us !
Hi there. We had hoped to get to Hoi An on this visit. Do you have an email so that we may consider options?
Great video - love your facials! 😅
Thank you!! 😁
At So'n Pacamara: your sub-titles generator says 'dry fruit' - I believe the tour guide said 'Jackfruit'.
Nice @leoh4599 to see someone watches our videos so intently. Good spotting and thanks. Darryl the "details" man obviously didn't have enough coffee on this day. Hahaha.
Very good! A few there that I haven't tried yet. Pepper coffee definitely on my list. Da Lat, my top go to source for coffee beans.
@leoh4599 It was a great experience at Son Pacamara, it's amazing to see what they are doing to get a great coffee to us. That Cold Brew Pepper coffee was well worth the visit to RôP in HCMC.
Darth Vader was Bristolian 🙂 love my city.
Hadn't put the two together, but now you come to mention it, the torch bearer does look a lot like the man that went to the Dark side. We loved your city too.
Definitely the best moment fot visiting any place is in the off-season.
Couldn't agree more @gromenhauer !
Boomers witnessed the Fall of Saigon. Millennials witnessed the Fall of Kabul. GenZ witnessed the Fall of Damacus.
It's interesting to see how different generations have experienced significant historical events. Each moment shapes our perspectives in unique ways!
I love your take on travel. I did a school year working in an elementary school in a small costal village in Valencian community. Didn't go back to work when I returned and trying to relocate/retire in Spain. I don't want to contribute to problems for the locals. I've seen how awful Barcelona is and see the same for other places due to massive tourism.
@kennielsen3896 It's fantastic to hear about your experience in Spain! Finding that balance between enjoying travel and being mindful of the local community is so important. Best of luck with your plans to relocate!
lol communist sympathiser
The last helicopter evacuating Americans from Saigon departed from the roof of the U.S. Embassy (now the American Consulate, Le Duan, the street you look down from the Palace balcony, and where the tanks rolled in from), not from the Palace. This event occurred in the early morning of April 30, 1975
Thanks @leoh4599 for the clarification. We appreciate your input greatly, this will help our viewers. Isn't it fascinating though to imagine the events of those days around the time of a nation departure?
The black cross on the American markings on the Huey helicopter on the roof of the Independence Palace was apparently used to obscure or alter the original insignia. This was a common practice during the chaotic evacuation of Saigon to prevent opposing forces from identifying and targeting specific aircraft, as well as to indicate changes in ownership or operational status during the rapid evacuation process.
Wow. Thanks for this @leoh4599. Amazing facts! We appreciate you taking the time to share. :)
Don’t know you, but as a Spanish person I just love the "mindful tourist" part 😂❤
@PossibleBat when we first started out we aimed to promote "social tourism". You'll see in our early videos we had a BB STAR system, but it was clear that message wasn't getting to many people. We hope "the Mindful Tourist" does. The aim is to travel responsibly. Right?
I would not retire in Spain. That country is politically very unstable right now…it could mean trouble in the future…😢😢😢
That is a shame you feel that way @freelancelady. We are travelling the globe to find our perfect retirement spot, however we are looking beyond Spain, even though we love the country, culture and people. We'd love to know which country you would see fit to retire in. The world all over seems a little unstable, so let's enjoy it while we can, right?
@susanaescriba977 that's what we also mean by being "mindful". It's about making those sort of considerations. We were living in Montenegro 11 months and tried to learn a whole new alphabet and language. Sadly there are few that go to those efforts. Thanks for highlighting this. (visiting is different to living, right?)
@@BreakawayBravehearts Exactly. Living is different than visiting. Living is entering the country's system, to get to know it well the best thing is to start working in a company in the country and everything that entails. The rest is just a simple simulation.
Forever and ever.
Now try to go to Galicia off-season and you will show that you are really brave XDDD. I laughed a lot when they said "it´s november and 19 degrees". Well, today in the north is -3 degrees. So, if you dare to do this suggested experiment, bring a coat just in case and above all, your umbrella. It will be an interesting experience for you.
That's a good one @antoniolopezlopez. We'll get the coats and weatherproof boots at the ready. Hahaha. We've lived in Germany, so you can see beauty in all weathers. Galicia may just be on our radar.
Thanks for sharing @pradoespin1958. We appreciate your participation.
It's a good question @pradoespin1958, yet one we can't answer yet, as we have not experienced all corners of your country. Where would you suggest?
That is a super suggestion. It looks like our kind of place. Thank you for sharing @pradoespin1958.
If we could give you a bigger heart 💜 on the "love this comment" we would. It's so very generous of you to say this and do this. We hope to inspire, educate a little and really appreciate you supporting us by subscribing despite you not liking travel videos. 🙏🙏🙏
Part of your video has been recorded in the Plaza de Oriente, with a couple statues of ancient Spanish Kings behind you. Can I tell you something about them? Plaza de Oriente is the place with more statues of kings in the world. They were sculpted for the facade of the royal palace, but Isabel de Farnesio, the mother of the king Carlos III, had a nightmare in which due to an earthquake those statues (they were 104!) fall down, killing his son Carlos, so she ordered to install them on the ground. Fourteen of them were taken to El Retiro, where you can see them at Paseo de las Estatuas.
Wow @a.aguilar that's such great information. Thanks for the share. We wished we'd known that before, it would have added something new to our content. We really appreciate you taking the time by putting this in the comments for others to learn. What a gem. 🙏🙏
Villena is in a highly seismic zone...in 2024,In the last 24 hours, Villena has had no confirmed earthquakes. In the last 348 days, Villena has had 271 earthquakes of magnitude up to 3.4 within a distance of up to 100 km: 7 earthquakes of magnitude 3 or higher 65 earthquakes of magnitude between 2 and 3 199 earthquakes of magnitude less than 2.....saludos
Wow. Impressive stuff. Thanks for sharing @justinianorigoberto7973.
Puerta de Bisagra (Hinge)
This was helpful. Thanks 👍🏼
Tourists like you are very welcome to Spain. Eager lo learn, to adapt, to go out of the mainstream, to taste new flavours, to listen to locals… we are tired of loud and party tourist, eating at Mc Donalds, complaining of our schedules, our food, getting drunk, going in big groups, pretending to be understood everywhere in their language…
Hi @felixcanas9446, that's really kind of you to say so and thanks for sharing your thoughts here. I can't apologise for those that you have less time for, we all have our choices, some are just less favourable and inconsiderate to others. Glad we were able to convey a more positive view. :)
Not only we are tired of that type of tourists, we don't need them. They are just not profitable, it's better for us if they go somewhere else.
@C.B-u5s Sadly to say, the Brits do have that reputation amongst locals. I fit in to the 10% and hope to see that figure rise. I have been fortunate to experience a world outside of Britain for many years and my kiwi wife too very well travelled. This has opened our minds and made us appreciate the country, the people and it's cultures, and that's our reason to share. Thanks for your comments 🙏
Manitas de cerdo= Walking deads 🤣
Got any favourites yourself? Gotta say, they were tasty although trying to make better decisions about meat! How about you @pauthonic?
@@BreakawayBravehearts You should also taste the bull's tail. It is an excellent stew.😉
@@karlosmatiko2241 This is wonderful. You've saved me having to make an itinerary. Much appreciated. 🙏
All the tourists say what good weather it is in Spain, but none of them go to the North.
Mejor.
Interestingly on our return in February @ALF-mn3qe we'll be heading North. We have heard some wonderful things about it and look forward to sharing our findings. Are you from Northern Spain? Perhaps you can share your favourite places to enjoy. We'd love to hear more.
You might just be right @fernandoaldekoa2436. We'll see in February/March. In the mean time, please share your insights. We'd love to hear. Thanks 🙏
I'm from the North and I can say that you will get a total different experience, same country, same people, but totally different weather, and landscape. I recommend Pamplona, San sebastian, Oviedo, Lugo, Santiago de Compostela, Burgos, Leon. There is plenty of beautiful pueblos like Hondarribia, potes, Ribadesella, Cangas de Onís, Cudillero, Combarro. Enjoy the beauty. and food will be from another galaxy😮
Sois encantadores!
That's very kind of you. Thanks @vge7963 for sharing :)
Lived like a local for a few weeks in Seville in January and loved it.
We had hoped to reach Seville ourselves too, it was not meant to be this time though. Never say never. Maybe we will get to experience it like you did next year. Glad you enjoyed it. On our radar.
@@BreakawayBravehearts I found it to be a beautiful and very relaxed place, the locals were welcoming and appreciative (being there in low season definitely helps), and prices were very reasonable (cost to value ratio) compared to most of the other 40+ countries I've visited. Still plenty of travellers in the tourist hotspots, but not overcrowded. Sun every day was a big plus too.
@@susanaescriba977 Is this what you do as a hobby? Troll UA-cam travel channels and try to discourage people from visiting Spain? Perhaps you should consider a better use of your time, so you can become a happier person.
One point. DANA is not a storm name. It's Depresion Aislada en Niveles Altos (High Level Isolated Depression). It means that in high atmosphere were very cold and the Mediterranean was very hot. The contrast of water steam and the cold temperature was the big storms hits the coast
Thank you @fbastidac for that insightful comment! It's always great to see viewers engaging with the content and sharing their knowledge!
Beautifully done I was at the Museum like 25 years ago and all they had was the wooden inventions that he did it is so incredible now really beautiful and so glad you made this it was so fun to go back and see wasn't it just so beautiful there did you get to go to Florence and see the original painting of the one of the Angel at the Uffici?
Thank you Christine @vonlossberg. That easel thumbnail was a piece of art itself to make. Looks like you are an artist who loves an angel. Vinci was stunning and you can see why Leonardo was inspired to share. And Yes, we did experience Florence and loved the city. We saw "the Annuciation" by Leonardo da Vinci at the Uffizi, (the one with the angel meeting Mary), one of the many highlights of Florence. Thank you for sharing and caring to comment.
😊 Magnifica clase magistral. Muchas gracias por este trabajo.
Claro, claro, "Murica", conocida en toda España.... Es un sarcasmo, obviamente.
Thank you for taking the time to highlight our "typo". Obviously we know it's supposed to be "Murcia". We can learn from our mistakes. Super sharp of you @MrSludov
That's really kind of you to say so and we appreciate you taking the time to share @anacasanova7350
I love your videos. I learned so much and I live near Guardamar. We will definitely follow in your footsteps. Xxxi would say to foreigners to avoid Guardamer in July, August and Easter as most of the homes are Spanish holiday homes, and the population soars at these times.
@serenity90210 we really appreciate your time spent with us and can agree with you about those summer months and Easter being a good time to leave the Spanish families to enjoy themselves with less tourists at these times. Guadamar can be enjoyed greatly off season. Thanks for your support 🙏🙏
Uhmmm Darryl is handsome indeed....
@MrSkudov always open to compliments. Thank you. Hopefully you felt the content was also worth a watch.
@@BreakawayBravehearts Well, I did in the video about Lorca and Atalaya Castel. I even remarked there that Lorca was the epicenter of a devastating earthquake in 2011, and reposted a Red Cross url to help the victims who lost EVERETHING in the event. UA-cam decided it was proper to eliminate my repost so I decided to do something to atrract your atention in the issue.
