Don’t reel against ya drag. You’ll get line twist.
That spot was packed with fish and a variety of species that was cool i bought one of those mini gimmick rods and yet to use it but other than the reel speed it would be good for backpacking.
Those big bite lures get it done. Good non stop action.
Great stuff! Looks like a blast!
WoW! That’s Brilliantly Awesome! Cheers!🥂❤️✨
Great video, Love multi-species fishing!!!
Perfectly done, multi species each cast
It takes 2 days just to reel the line back in.
Yea lol. Between that and it only casting good every ten casts I was done.
Long Ear Sunfish, Blue Gill, Crappie, Bass, Creek Chub, Golden Shiner, Striped Shiner and a Blunt Nose Minnow. That's what I came up with after short google research. Also possibly a Hybrid Long Ear. So Possibly 8-9 Species.
Love fishing in that green stuff, I use the wacky worm, and jitterbug exclusively....I am 72 years young, and really enjoy your videos.
It sure was fun after being unsure about it. I’m glad you enjoy the videos, thanks for watching!
I also caught a green sunfish on a fluke about two weeks ago. That was a surprise!!!
Nice. I’ve been missing the multi species. Seems like a lot of the spots I’ve tried recently have been super bass dominant. So it was nice getting a couple green sunfish. Hopefully soon I’ll run into some variety again.
That looked like a lot of fun and a bit of a challenge. What part of the country are you in?
Kentucky
Hungary bass equals lots of fun. Good video.
Just bought a couple of these lures. Good vid.
What size jig head? Hook size
I was using a Z-Man Micro Finesse ShroomZ Jig Head. 1/15 oz and size 6 hook.
Nice video man and nice channel! I’ll subscribe for sure!
Thanks for stopping by. Good luck on the fishing!
Love me some beetle spins! I just buy the spinners in bulk now, there's always a more cost effective way haha!
Oh yea, love the price. Great budget lure and matches great with lots of different trailer options. Thanks for watching!
Got a fatty 👍
Hey this is basically my setup 99% of the time. Rooster tales ftw!
nice
Beetle spin beetle spin beetle spin haha have you ever uses a half OZ beetle spin i have
Thats my favorite kind of fishing. Late spring, Summer, early Fall, nobody is after crappie an big blugill are usually mixed in. Use a graph to see what depth they are suspended off deep weed edges, i cast or drift 1/32oz jig heads with plastic paddle tails. Cheaper the better cuz the tails get bitten off every kind and I super glue a few so they stay straight on the hook. Super slow horizontal movements, pink or green. 1 glued on set up usually lasts 50 fish. Almost a hit on every cast, hard fighters on ultra lights. Easy to unhook for release, keep a few for fresh dinner. Kayak or canoe would be fun but my 16ft tiller is so light I can drag it into small lakes.
Oh yea, sounds like a good time. I love the mystery of what could come next. I’m hoping to run into some feeding crappie now that it’s fall. I should definitely consider the super glue, great idea for sure. Thanks for watching!
@@multispeciesfishing Line twist is my biggest foe. When the plastic isnt rigged straight or fish keep pulling it off hook, it will twirl when falling and twist your line horribly. Glue fixes 2 problems there
Some nice bass there dude!
That looked like a good day for sure. If you like those flukes, you should try some of the 3" Bass Assassin Baby Shads. I've caught SO many fish on those! I will use them as a soft plastic jerk bait with a twitch and pause technique, varying the number of twitches before the pause the whole way back. There are also times when I "walk the dog" with them over submerged grass areas or even just parallel to the shore line, and catch a BUNCH of aggressive bass! I remember one day about 20 years ago, I was fishing with a bunch of my fellow church members at a church members home / farm. They were "commenting" to our hostess who was standing with them on the shore line, on what a bad day it was. The fish just aren't bitting. She replied.. it doesn't look like he's having a bad day. He's caught about 10 in the past 20 minutes. They were using worms and shiners if I remember correctly, and here I was cleaning up on a soft plastic! Fun times!
that sounds like fun, thanks for sharing, god bless
I love that style of fishing, the twitching/pausing method is so much fun and super affective. I really like those bass assassins, I have trouble finding them. Where do you typically buy them? Also thanks for sharing.
Can you tell me what town and state your in
Kentucky.
I love micro bait fishing u never know what u be catching awesome video
Man, this pond is really packed with fish! Literally every casting with fish on
Yea it’s a fun spot, lots of small ones but super aggressive. One of those spots I’ll go a few times a year to kick back and have fun with some small lures. Thanks for watching!
Great job. enjoyed this video.
I've seen a lot of trash talk on these, but you have seem to be doing decent with it and I'm getting it for my toddler. I think it'll do.
It’s definitely a challenge and can be aggravating, I will admit. But it is usable, probably would be fine with a simple bobber rig.
🎣 not only they look like the coolest here, also they look small enough for trout as well. My question is this, are they scented at all.
When I get a chance I’ll check if they have a scent, probably this weekend. But they are great, I need to get some more colors.
Yeah I love the old rooster tail I caught about 14 fish last trip
Great video. Rooster Tail for the win.
Hard to beat.
Thanks for sharing my friend. If all else fails, I put in a rooster tail! :) Liked and subbed from a fellow angler. Stay safe and connected bro!
That looked like a fun little trip. Interesting that you could catch that many so close to the marina. Those rocks did look like a good fish magnet type of shore line. Nice!
Its been a lot of fun over the years. Even had a few surprise catches like a Walleye and Drum. I love the unique experiences of different bodies of water. Thanks for watching!
This some ASMR right here, absolutely magical
Just love those 33s fun reel. Looks like a great fishing spot you have ..
Beautiful pond and weather. What more does one need in life 😝
It's so amazing, such a great break from reality.
i love fishing smaller baits going into fall, i end up getting a lot more bites. caught five largies the other day in an hour. nice catches keep on rippin jaws🤘
Maan bro I know alot us do it for the sport but all those you caught If you was hungry they would've been on the menu perfect size🏆💯🫡
Please stop telling people about Yum Christmas Tree grubs. They are my secret all-weather...all-condition go-to weapon. LOL;)
Lol they sure are an awesome lure. And you just reminded me about them cause I need to restock. Thanks for watching, good luck on the fishing!
Good video. I enjoy your content so much. The catch anything fishing is the best. Thanks.
Glad you you enjoyed. I appreciate you stopping by.
ZMan Larva-Z BUT with modification. I cut off the eyes! Then Loctite super glue (waterproof gel - black center/blue bottle) to i_fish BG-1 with #12 hook and using i_fish micro hooks. Sound like work to set up? It is, but I enjoy doing this while watching TV at my (home) office desk. I also use several other small Zman soft plastics, and I really love Bobby Garland Itty Bit Swim-r; Big Bite Baits 1.5" Craws (and more); Charlie Brewer 1" Crappie/PanFish Grub; Creek Life Baits - almost anything - (stone fly, 1.3" Creature bait, spiders, cricket, etc. - get a sampler pack); Mule Fishing Donkey Tail Jr.'s, Horse Flys and his tackle box; and the last one for this list of super ultra lite baits is Moondog Bait Co. - again.. almost anything (Dragon Fly Larvae, 1.75" Finesse Craw - also use 1" micro but I like the Big Bite Baits craws better, Micro Spider Monkeys, and Stone Flys - you'll notice all my choices are less than 2") - I get Charlie Brewer's, Creek Life, Mule Fishing, and the Moondog baits from their respective web sites. I also still have A LOT of Trout Magnet and Crappie Magnet lures, and use them quite a bit also. It's all fun on ultra lite with a -2 foot 4 lb. or less mono/flouro leader tied to 6 or 5 lb. braid. I use 3 different kinds of braid. Daiwa 8X J-Braid (6 lb.), Kastking Superpower X8 6 lb., and Phenix Iron Feather 5 lb. - All good. I get colors to match my reels. Also, if you want to try something really cool, Varivas 2.3 lb. Lemoni line - no braid but with about 1/3 of the reel 4 lb. mono backing to save $$$.
What do you like better the trout magnet or the frisky frog
@@fredstrudthoff9596 Trout Magnet. It’s just so effective and simple, comes in lots of colors. Love em.
Wait are all Zebco 33s micro or is there also a normal vesrion
Yea I believe there is a regular size zebco and then the micro is that smallest.
Ok Thanks
@@multispeciesfishing which one would you rather use while fishing do?
There is a large variety of 33s for all different types of fishing
That’s the same thing I do if I get a fish that’s big enough and wants to put up a good fight, play with that drag and let it wear itself out running!
I set my drag about 3/4 if I’m fishing for small ones!
Nice kit for panfish, I picked up some of those trout magnets, but haven’t used them yet!
That looked like a lot of fun. I always like it when they hit within 1 - 3 turns of the reel handle right near the longest point of my cast. Fishing with 6 lb. x8 braid (1.5 lb mono diameter) and 4 - 10 lb. leader, depending on what lure I'm throwing and into what type of cover. I keep my drag pretty loose and don't usually "set" the hook like you were today. I raise my rod tip up with some speed, but not usually a punch, then just keep pressure on them. The hooks I use are very sharp (i_fish BG-1's usually 1g or 1.25g with either #12 or #10 hooks. It is better to use Loctite super glue with the BG-1's. The black center of the bottle glue, to keep your lures on. It's water proof. You could try that with the jig heads you're using as well. I keep my pre-glued jigs in a 2 sided tackle box from Mule Fishing and one from Gamakatsu. Both are the same designed box, but different colors. That way I know which box to pick up. Mule jigs in the Mule box, and LarvaZ's, Charlie Brewer's 1 inchers, Trout Magnets, small Big Bite Bait craws and Bobby Garlands in one side of the other one. The other side has some other small lures in it. Like Rebel Trac Downs and 1/16 oz. Flash Back Mini's). It usually takes me about 4 - 6 times longer to land a fish then how quickly you were landing yours in this video. Sometimes I let them fight a bit before I start lifting the rod and taking up line as I lower it. For me, that's the most fun of catching a fish. The fight. So I do try to stretch that out as long as possible. Once they quit fighting, then I reel them in the last few feet a bit more quickly. It is a good idea, as you seemed to notice, to only reel your line in to about a rods length, then lift. If you get some more expensive rods down the road, you're gonna want to be sure to have a net and not "high stick" your rod. The tips will break on heavier fish. You want to lift with your rod parallel with the water. It's a good idea to start practicing that now, before you more expensive gear, so it becomes a habit. A "best practice" way of catching. Just part of the process. I also noticed that you seemed to be catching fish about three to one over the other guy in that one section of wherever you were fishing. That Trout Magnet works real well, and you retrieve was one I use quite often. That spot looked so peaceful and beautiful. Great place to relax and catch some! Thanks for sharing. Blessings!
Glad you enjoyed. I appreciate you taking the time to throw me some tips and info, defiantly things to keep in mind. Thanks for watching!
Shad Fryz and Itty Bitts are two of my favorite lures to use. Thanks for video I enjoyed it.
…how in tarnation do you catch a fish within like, 5 mins? I can barely catch 1 in an hour 👁️👄👁️
That was great!! My heart was a thumpin' as you were trying to land that decent sized mama channel cat. You played her well.
Glad this popped up in my feed. First of your videos I have watched and it was great! Hitting a creek with some trout magnets or panfish magnets is one of my favorite things to do. So much fun and you never know what you’re going to catch.
Yea its super fun, glad you enjoyed!
