Join Chad and I as we climb the North West Ridge of Punta Cusidore in Sardinia. Only a 30 minute drive from Cala Gonone where we stayed, is the largest multi pitch on the island, a must do all on tradional gear placements.

    I'll be in Japan this coming September to climb in Ogawayama! Super siked! Any good routes/tips? I'll be going with a partner but we're moderate climbers in the 5.9 range.

      you'll have a great time, there are a lot of very good moderates, everything we got on was good because the rock is so solid there. Would recommend getting an english guide book before go, there are a few options online.

      I have a red Komodo 6k which I use for my videography business but the rest was filmed on a GoPro 10. Also using a modified vintage Pentax super tacumar 50m 1.4 with the Komodo if you where interested or a 35m can’t remember, love the look!

    • @FreeFlashProductions
      @FreeFlashProductions 10 місяців тому

      It was free to take my pad on the plane but if this doesn’t work for you there is a climbing shop sort of near by named calafete that rents them.

      @@FreeFlashProductionsthank you. I found the shop you’re talking about, but it’s closed now. I read that another climbing shop opened in the same location though, so maybe they might rent crash pads as well.

      If you're into deep water solo climbing, there's a route in Cala Mitjana called "rich bitch" which has a very cool dynamic move at the start, it's 7A but quite soft in my opinion. Also very low score on the sketchiness scale, it's very safe and not that high above the water.

    • @FreeFlashProductions
      @FreeFlashProductions 11 місяців тому

      That's a little tricky, I think you can just show up kind of thing, the website has no info and a number you can call but i don't think your going to find anybody that speaks english. We found it better to stay in Hokuto and drive the 40 min each day and there are more climbing area's there as well.

    Sick footage, thanks for posting. Last month myself and two friends made a trip into the Anderson River Group from the other side. We parked at the Zopkios Rest Area on the Coq, and after an easy bushwhack eventually gained Gamuza ridge. We were able to scramble up Serna, Gamuza, and Steinbok (all 4th class routes), and now we can't wait to get back in and do some actual climbing. How was Ibex? Sounds like it was loose and dirty? And did you guys happen to take a look at Springbok? This area doesn't seem to get much traffic anymore, so thanks for posting.
