That's my question, too. I'm not likely to iron on my teak dining table.
@@stoverboo If the teak is solid teak (much less likely), then it probably can withstand a brief ironing like this, where the cloth is doubled over, without trouble. If you are constantly adding "teak oil" then I would not do that, because that is a stain which can come out of the wood grain and onto a tablecloth. BTW, you should not be oiling teak which is only used indoors. If the table is veneered teak (much more likely), then I would not try it either way. Better to simply get a glass top for the table, and then the finish is protected from all liquids and impacts as well, even during dining and down time. Source: I own a lot of Danish teak furniture.
